This and that

A cold misty rain was falling this morning as I left the house in rain pants and yellow slicker for a walk around the lake.  It was 34 degrees.  I am not complaining about the rain though, because that's all it is just rain.  No snow or ice. : )
The geese were noisy as usual but the birds were quiet today.  I did see a lot of Robins.  It was easy finding breakfast for them this morning because there were worms all over the paths just waiting to be picked up.
I counted 6 people around the lake which was more than I expected.  As I came around the bend here I saw the whole parking lot was filled with police cars and vans.
My first thought was that they were looking for someone but then no one seemed to be concerned about anything. Some were sitting in their cars, a couple were standing around and I saw some go into the big van.  I walked up to a couple of them as asked what was going on.  They said they were just having a police operation (whatever that is) and the park was just a good place to meet.  He assured me the park was safe this morning.  So with a thanks and a good morning I was off walking again.

The work on the pier is coming along nicely.  I took a picture of it this morning.  The boat ramp is done and it looks like they are about to pour concrete any day now for the rest of the pier.
I guess they will also plant some trees and flowers and place a bench or two around.  It should be nice when they get done.
On the path heading back home I saw the people with the barking dog again and stopped to talk to them.  The dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Once we stopped to talk he stopped barking.  They said he is a very friendly, nice dog and doesn't bark at home, just when walking.  I had never heard of this kind of dog so looked it up when I got home.  Click HERE  if you would like to learn about them and to see a picture.
An interesting walk today.  I never know what I'll see or learn.  My walk is never boring.
Today I walked 6.5 miles.
I added up the coins for this month and the total is $1.36.
2 quarters, 8 dimes, and 6 pennies.

Last night we stopped at Safeway and bought ice cream.  If you buy ice cream, I'm sure you have noticed that the container is getting smaller and that the half gallon ice cream container has been gone for a while now. Ken as been saying one day we are going to see the half gallon container come back saying, New larger size - half gallon.   We both cracked up laughing when we looked at the ice cream container and sure enough that is what it said.
We don't usually get this kind - I think it's the Safeway brand - but we just had to because of the container size.  The ice cream was okay but not as creamy as the Turkey Hill which we have been getting lately, so we will be going back to Turkey Hill.

I have mentioned before that I do an exercise DVD of Body Electric that I recorded years ago off the television on a PBS station and have been doing these same four shows over and over again.  I am happy to say that I have found a PBS channel from Washington, DC that we get which airs the old shows every morning at 10:00.  : )  I am so excited to be able to do these new exercise routines each day.  I can now save the old ones I have and do them if I can't be home at 10 for the television show.  I aim to do this 3 or 4 times a week but don't always make it.

I keep a food journal and a weight chart and have for years.  The food I write down and keep it in a book.  My weight I record in an excel spread sheet with a chart.  The last couple of days I've been recording my food and weight on line at the website Fit Day.   I find it very easy to use and helpful and a great way to keep track of everything.

I'm baking bread again today - another traditional white loaf because we need bread - but when it is finished I will be baking another loaf.  This time I'm going to try raisin bread.  I love raisin bread and a couple of pieces of it will be my snack tonight.

A few more old picture.
Linda and I have fun visiting The North Pole.  Here we are licking a great big ice pole.  If you look closely you can see that our tongues aren't actually touching it.
 In this picture my dad told us to make a face like the ice pole tasted yucky.
And here we are with Santa.  He looks like he needs to fatten up a bit doesn't he?  Well it was in the summer.
Here Linda and I are a couple of cow girls when we visit Frontier Town.
When we were in Frontier Town we took a ride on a stage coach and part of the ride was that Indians came and attack the coach.  I remember my mom screaming because they jumped right on the stage coach and it scared me half to death and I started crying.
That is all the photos I will be posting from that trip but still have other photos from other times to post.  Hope the pictures haven't become boring yet.

We are having a rainy gray day here in Maryland and I'll be home all day.  It's nice to be dry in a nice warm house.
Hope your Thursday is a good one.
A smile from me to you.

A pretty morning sky and more old pictures

I stayed walking along the sidewalks this morning and didn't stay to any of my usual routes.  The temperature was 32 degrees and right after looking a beautiful morning sky
it was cloudy for the rest of the time.  The sky changes so fast that I'm glad I was able to get this picture.  No wind and it was a bit warmer than it has been.
Just a few people out.  A runner, a walker and a couple of people walking their dogs.  One dog was out walking his owner.  The dog was on a lead but the woman let it go wherever it wanted.  On the sidewalk, up driveways, over people's lawn, through gardens and anywhere else the dog wanted to go.
I didn't see any deer but I did see a couple of reindeer. One eating and one watched as I walked by.  : )
I took a walk passed the liquor store just before I came home hoping to find a couple of coins, but not today.
I walked 6.4 miles.

Planning on just spending the day at home.  Nothing special - just a regular day.  Nothing to blog about yet.

When I was a kid, my parents took me and my cousin Linda on vacation to Lake George in New York.  I was an only child and Linda came along for company for me.  I'm not positive but I think I had just turned 5.  Mom or Linda, if you are reading this do you remember what year this is?
Here are me, my mom and Linda at the lake.
 Here's one of me just me.
There are hardly ever any pictures of my dad because he was always taking the pictures.
On the way to Lake George we stopped at a few places along the road that are for kids.  Places like, Story Town, Frontier Town, and the North Pole.  I'll be posting some more pictures in the days to come.

A happy day to you.

A walk, lights and a good book

The temperature was 29 degrees when I left for my walk this morning.  A slight breeze so it was really nice when the sun came up to warm things up a bit.  It is getting lighter and lighter each morning and now when I leave it isn't really dark anymore.  Though the sun isn't up yet there is a glow in the sky.  I walked around the lake.  There are short paths that lead off the paved path to the lake.  I think they are used mostly for the fishermen. I walked down a few of them down to the water today.  When I got to the end of this one,
I saw these two geese.
Not that many people around the lake again.
On the path behind the church that leads back home I've seen a couple walking their dog a few times now.  He is always barking at nothing.  He just walks along barking.  You know how some people just like to talk all the time even when they don't have anything to say?  I think this dog is like that. : )
It was a good morning to be out walking.
I walked 6.4 miles.

Yesterday afternoon street lamps were put around in my townhouse neighborhood.  They put one at the end of street in the back by our garage.
 And one in the front across the street.
We will never again have trouble finding the key hole in the dark again.  : )

I finished reading Water for Elephants yesterday. It's about an old man in a nursing home telling about his time in the circus when he was young.  He goes back and forth between now and then.  I thought the book was very good and it had a great ending.  Well worth reading.
I've been reading more Grimm's Fairy Tales.  Most of them are pretty strange and only a page or two and some not even that long and they are not really that good.  Sleeping Beauty was just about the same as the one I know.  They other tale that I've heard of was Hansel and Gretel and that too was pretty much the same.  Only I don't remember a white duck helping them to cross a river.

Went to my Tuesday knitting group this morning and was home again a little before one.  Had some lunch and now here I am.
I'll do a little work, start a new book,  read blogs, and if I have time I'll knit some more.

Hope you are all finding your bit of happiness today.
A smile from me to you.

You will be surprised how much money there was.

Another chilly morning - only 26 degrees.  A beautiful sunrise this morning.  I usually take the sunrise pictures in the same spot.  I get a good clear shot at the sky right as I get to the lake.  The lake is right behind me.  It was very still out this morning and every little sound carries far around the lake.  Walking I could hear birds calling to each other and singing, the geese making their usual ruckus, squirrels rustling the leaves, and an airplane flying by.  I could even hear people taking but I couldn't see them and in the distance I heard a siren.
I saw four deer on the path to the lake and another two around the lake.  One by the lake only had antlers on one side.  I know they shed their antlers from December though March and I guess one comes off before the other.
A couple of geese go swimming off as I walk by.
Just a handful of other people around the lake and they were all regulars.  There are  a few people I used to see but haven't seen them in ages.  Maybe they are waiting for the warmer weather to get here.
Another great morning for walking and I walked 6.7 miles.

The last week or so I've been seeing these purple things up in trees while driving.
The first one I saw, at first glance, I thought was a kite stuck in a tree.  But after seeing a couple of them, I knew it wasn't that.  Then this morning I saw one on a tree around the lake.  This sign was stapled to the tree explaining what it was.  Mystery solved.
The weather is still in the 30's.  I thought it was going to be warmer and it still might warm up some more.  I hung clothes out to dry and some of them froze.  There is a bit of breeze and with the sun they will dry.  It just will take a little longer.

Have you all been curious to learn just how much money was in those two plastic containers?  You all were way low!!!  You will be surprised to know that the amount was
 $645.75!!!!
If you're wondering how long it took to save that.
Three years.

Just staying around home today.  Some cleaning, reading, knitting and who knows what else.
A happy Monday to you.

Just As I Am.

Near the end of the morning church service every Sunday, Pastor Simpson gives an invitation for those who want to ask Jesus to come into their heart, be baptized, join the church, or just to have someone pray with you.  We sing different hymns during this time.
It's been a year this March since I walked down the aisle and was baptized.  : )  Though Jesus has been a part of my life since I was a child I was never baptized till last year.
The hymn, Just As I Am, was being sung as I made down to be baptized.
I am so thankful that God lead me to this church right down the road from me.  I didn't know how much I needed a church family until I came here.  : )
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked 6 miles this morning on one of my connect the path routes.  The temperature was 29 and as I walked out the door it started snowing pretty hard.  It only lasted about 10 minutes though and by the time I got home I could see blue sky.
And now I'm off to church.
Have blessed Sunday.
A smile from me to you.
How much money?
The temperature was a few degrees colder than yesterday morning.   Only 22 degrees, but like yesterday there was no wind and the sun came out and it was really quite pleasant for walking.  Walked straight down the road and turned right and walked to Font Hill Wetland Park and walked around the little pond.  I don't walk there all that often because I have to walk in the road for a while and during the week there are so many cars.  Hardly any cars at all early on a weekend morning.  All around the pond is only a mile but worth walking there to walk around it.
  It was just me and these two geese walking around the pond on the path there.
Down close to the water I spotted this Red Winged Black bird sitting on a punk.  He stayed just long enough for me to get a picture.
Only saw a few other people along the streets I walked.
I walked 6.4 miles.
I love the new bread machine.  The bread came out even better than with the old machine.  It is not so dense and even though the top had an odd shape to it, the loaf was a better size.  The bread was so good that we had bread for our snack last night.  I'm glad I dropped the old machine.  : )  The recipe book that comes with it has lots of good sounding recipes in it and I will probably try most of them.  Seems I picked out a popular bread machine - a few of you have the same one.  Go out and buy this one Vee. : )
Ken was home this Saturday morning so I made us pancakes for breakfast.  Thought about having toast, but decided on the pancakes.
On my photo blog I've been posting odd or funny street sign names on Fridays.  I ran out of pictures and couldn't post one yesterday so today we drove around collecting street signs.  We didn't have far to go till we found quite a few of them.
Ken always throws his change into a couple of little crocks and when they are filled we dump them into these old kitty litter plastic containers.  They were getting pretty heavy so we brought them to the bank and put them in the coin machine and then deposited the money into my savings account.  Isn't Ken nice?  He always gives me the money.
Change certainly adds up.  Take a guess on how much money is here in these two containers?  I'll tell you on Monday.
The rest of the afternoon I will be home doing a little of this and that.  I will read some more of Water for Elephants which I started last night.  I liked it right away and I'm sure I will be finished with it in no time.  Ken is going to read it after me.
Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.  Nice and sunny here, even if it is quite cold for this time of year.  Snow is supposed to be coming tonight, but I choose not to believe it.  : )  I do not want snow!!
A smile from me to you.
New Bread Machine
A bit on the chilly side this morning as winter seems to have returned. The temperature was only 25 degrees and there was frost and a few icy patches around but it was nice and clear and dry.  It was great once the sun came up to feel it shining on my face.  It was actually a perfect morning for walking.  On the way to the lake on the path behind the church I saw a group of six deer.  They all stood perfectly still and blended in well with the trees.  A little farther up the path I saw two more in a back yard laying down.  Walking the path on the way back when it was light out I saw another deer and snapped this picture.
 Walking around the lake I saw the beaver again.  He was quite near the shore line but started swimming away when I went down to get a picture.  This picture isn't a very good picture but here it is anyway.
There were about a dozen or so people around the lake.  I saw one man running in just shorts and a tee-shirt.  It made me cold to look at him.  He was the topic of conversation around the lake today.
Walking past the Giant I smelled bread baking and it made me look forward to baking bread when I got home in my new bread machine. : )
Took the loop past the liquor store on the way home to see if there were any coins to be found.  I was in luck and found a dime.
I walked 6.7 miles.
Last night we went out for pizza and after stopped at a few places to look at Bread Machines.  I found one I liked at WalMart.
So of course today I had to make bread. I baked the standard white bread to start with.  Very easy - just add all ingredients in the order they are listed.
Here is a picture through the top of the machine as the dough gets mixed, kneaded and then baked.
Out of the machine and ready for slicing.
The shape is a little odd looking,
but I'm sure it will taste good.
Last night we also stopped off at the library.  We both had things to drop off and I had another book to pick up which I had on hold for a while.  The book is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.  A few different people have recommended it to me and I'm finally getting around to reading it.  I will be starting it today.
It warmed up a bit later in the day so I decided to hang a couple loads of laundry outside to dry.  They are still out there drying.  Ken's shirts will need ironing and I'll get that done a little bit later.
A break from old pictures today.
I've noticed a few more followers to my blog and want to welcome you.
Thanks to all of you who give up some of your time to read my blog and a special thank you to all who take the time to leave comments.  I appreciate it and it makes me happy.  : )
A quiet walk and old pictures
My walk this morning was around the lake.  It was dry when I left so I didn't wear my rain slicker or rain pants.  It felt like rain though.  Once I got to the lake there was a slight misty drizzle and that came and went a couple of times and finally stopped.  Then once I was about a mile from home, back came that misty drizzle which turned into plain ordinary rain and by the time I got home I was pretty wet.  It was only 34 degrees so it was a cold rain too.  Still I was dry for most of my walk and the one good thing about rainy mornings is that I get the lake to myself.  Only saw one other person.  When I get to the lake I usually turn right and walk that way, but today I went left and walked around the opposite way.  Each way around, the hills to walk up are pretty equal.  I saw something fly by out of the corner of my eye and it was the heron coming in for a landing at the waters edge.  I couldn't get very close but close enough to take this picture.
That is worth walking in the rain any morning. : )  Very quiet around the lake.  Even the birds and geese were quiet.
I walked 6.3 miles
Just yesterday AuntAmelia had a post about bread machines and I left a comment that I use mine all the time and don't know what I'd do without it. This morning I was all set to make some bread in mine and as I was taking the bread machine out of the cabinet it slipped right out of my hands and went crashing to the floor.  Pieces of plastic went flying all over the place and now I no longer have a bread machine.  My wood floor as a few nicks in it too now.  I've had that bread machine for years.  Guess I'll just have to get a new one.  It was starting to make a funny noise once in a while anyway.
I think tonight after we go out for pizza, we will just have to stop on the way home and find a new one to buy.  Maybe it will be even better than my old one.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These two pictures were also taken the same Christmas as yesterdays muff picture.  I was four years old.
I've just come down the stairs and got a look at the Christmas tree and the presents Santa had brought me.  Check out that wall paper.  What was grandma thinking of when she picked that out. : )
Another favorite present of mine that year was a Betsy Wetsy doll.  I'm sitting here in my Sunday dress all ready for church holding my doll.
We were living with my grandma while waiting for our house to be built which was a couple towns away.  Four years later we were back at grandma's waiting for another house to be finished.  This one just a half mile from her.  I loved living so close to my grandma and I could ride my bike to see her whenever I wanted.  She was always a gentle, happy grandma to me and I spent many hours with her and I loved her. : )  She died a couple of weeks before I turned 17.
This picture is of me, grandma and my mom one Easter Sunday.

It's been another day at home for me just getting more stuff done around the house. I'm looking forward to my usual reading and knitting while waiting for Ken to get home from work.

I hope you have lots of happy moments scattered throughout your day.

A Muff

This morning was a misty one with a temperature of 41 degrees.  I didn't bother wearing my rain pants but I did wear my yellow rain slicker.  There was a slight mist when I started walking and just enough of a breeze to blow it in my face.  That didn't last long though because the mist stopped and didn't start up again until I was a block from home. I walked around my lake this morning and was practically the only person there.  As I was walking over one of the foot bridges I heard a rustle in the woods and there were four deer running.  Haven't seen many deer around the lake since they thinned them out so it was nice to see them.  I see a lot of the geese and ducks in pairs and they seem to have picked out their homes.  When others get too close they are chased away.  The male geese are very protective toward their "wife" and will be even more so once the babies arrive.
I never get bored on my walks because there is always so much to see and I never know what will be coming my way.  Its a little adventure each day.  :-)
I walked 6.2 miles.

I was going to go to the commissary but since it was a rainy day I decided not to.  Besides I really don't NEED anything so I'll just put it off a week.

Today I made some Blueberry Muffins (easy - just from a mix).  I usually pack up a breakfast and lunch for Ken to take to work and the muffins are for his breakfast.  More than likely I'll have one for my breakfast tomorrow as well.  I like the little mixes because they only make six muffins.
The rest of the day I'll just be doing stuff around the house.  I'll find time for knitting and reading too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I came across some old pictures that I had forgotten about and thought it might be fun to post one every so often and tell about a memory.
Do any of you remember muffs?
I loved my muff and got it for Christmas one year with a matching hat. I loved how soft the fur felt.  In the picture I'm all ready to go to church on this Christmas morning in my matching hat and muff.  Don't I looked pleased with myself.  :-)  I wonder whatever become of my muff.
A happy day to you.
An empty egg
No thunderstorm today so I was out walking my usual time of 6:35.  It was 46 degrees and it felt damp but still it was a good day to be out and walking.  I first walked around the lake.  The moon was still out this morning and I snapped this picture of it over the lake with its reflection in the water.
The beaver was out again and I saw him in the water.  Stopped to watch him swimming around.  They are bigger than I thought.  Still haven't been able to get a good picture of him though.  As I walked past a mini little pond (more like a deep puddle)  I saw the water ripple and when I looked down, saw a little frog for just a second as he went down under the water and got lost in some weeds.
A handful of people were out and a few fishermen were out as well.  Most morning lake people are pretty friendly and will say good morning or a least smile.  Others just like their time alone and don't want to interact with others at all.  I usually try to get them to talk a few times and then leave them alone.  One lady I've stopped trying to talk to.  Whenever I see her now, she takes out her cell phone.
I walked the lower path around the lake today. On the path that leads back toward home I thought this hillside looked so pretty with all the daffodils blooming.
On the way back home I passed up my turn for home and continued to walk down to the path I walked along yesterday and went to find that egg again.   Vee got me curious to see what was inside the egg.  I found it and opened it up and there was absolutely nothing in it at all.
Then headed back home and ended up walking 7 miles.
Delayed walk
It was 42 degrees this morning as I walked out the door. I knew rain was on the way but was hoping to get my walk in before it started.  I got no farther than two blocks up the road when it started to thunder and lightening and I knew the rain wouldn't be far behind.  As you know I don't mind walking in the rain and I have gotten caught in a thunder storm before but I figured why take a chance and came back home.  During the rain, thunder and lightening I did my Body Electric (DVD).  Then around 8:00 it was all pretty much passed with just a very slight drizzle so I put on my rain pants and yellow slicker and went for my walk then.  Very soon after the drizzle stopped and it brightened up some.
I didn't walk any of my regular routes but just went wherever my feet happened to take me.  Snapped this picture down one of the trails I walked.
The Easter Bunny must be out hiding some eggs early this year and dropped one because it looks like I happened upon one.
There were many many deer out along the paths today.  I saw a few groups of them.  Eight in one group, six in another, four and then only two.
I saw a women with three little kids in the field over by the pool trying to get a kite up in the air without much luck.  They all looked like they were having fun though.
Not many people out walking, just saw a few older people walking their dogs.
I walked 6.5 miles.
The rest of the morning I puttered around the house and then it was time leave to meet a friend (Retired Knitter) for lunch at Ram's Head.  We met at the Tuesday morning knitting group and we don't really get to visit there, so every so often we meet up for lunch and a chance to talk.  Always nice spending time with friends.  I am thankful for every one of them.  :-)
Remember that blue planter I got at the auction a few weeks back?  I planted some basil seeds in it and I am happy to say that yesterday they sprouted.  It won't be long before I'll have fresh basil to put on some homemade pizza.  I'll take another picture once the plants are big.  I'll have to thin them out a bit too.
It's that part of the afternoon where I usually read or knit, but first I'm going to visit some blogs.  Once again I'm a bit behind.
Hope your Monday was a good one.
A smile from me to you.
Rita's and My friend Gertie
Delicious dinner last night at Red Lobster.  I had the meal where you get to pick two of your favorites.  I picked Garlic Shrimp Scampi and Stuffed Flounder.  A salad and baked potato went with it.  I also had one of the biscuits.  I didn't finish everything but made a good try.
Sorry Vee, no pictures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I must have needed some extra sleep last night because I didn't wake up until 7:30 (a hour and half later than usual).  By the time I left on my walk the sun was already up and shining brightly.  It was cooler than yesterday and there was quite a breeze but the weather was still gorgeous.  I walked along the streets and paths and made my way over to Rita's which I now know is 3.4 miles from my house.
Too bad it was too early for it to be open.  I didn't have any money anyway so it really didn't matter.  I did find two quarters in the parking lot though.

Gertie (89), who I met walking around her neighborhood and walks a couple miles every day and I've mentioned before, lives about a mile before I got to Rita's.  I don't walk this way very often but I hadn't seen Gertie in months and was getting worried about her.  I didn't know her last name or telephone number so I couldn't call her either.  I knew which house was hers and did stop by one afternoon but she wasn't home.  Lately I've seen a strange car in her driveway and was thinking maybe something happened to her and someone else was living there now.  I usually pass by too early to stop at the house but today I was late and on the way home stopped and rang the bell.  I am so glad I did because it was Gertie who answered the door.  She was so happy to see me and asked me to come in.  I told her I just stopped by to see if she was okay.  She insisted on me coming in so I did and stayed about 15 minutes.  I am happy and relieved that everything is just fine with her.  She as been walking a little latter than usual and we just haven't run into each other.  We had such a nice chat and she gave me a big hug and told me how nice it was that I checked in on her.  We exchanged last names and telephone numbers so I will be able call to check on her now. I told her to call me if I can ever do anything for her.  She really is a special lady and I'm so glad we met and are friends.  :-)
I continued my walk and headed back home the with a happy heart.
Lots of daffodils blooming now all over the place.  I saw some forsythia in bloom as well.  It was nice to see a group of kids out with garbage bags picking up the litter down by the water over by the school.
Didn't see any wild life except for birds and squirrels.
I walked 7 miles.

Ken is out this morning but we will meet up later after lunch.  Don't know what the rest of the day has in store for me, so I will just have to see what turns up.
Make your Saturday a good one.
Happyone :-)

Friday

Another great morning for a walk.  Temperature was 49 degrees when I started out and 54 by the time I got back home again.  Most people must be waiting to go to the lake later in the day when it will be warmer because I just saw a few people out this morning.  I saw a couple of rabbits nibbling on the grass close to the path.  Nice to see them again - haven't seen them for quite a while.  They didn't stay around long enough for me to get a picture of one.  Some of you yesterday mentioned that you don't like beavers but I feel I must defend the beavers of my lake.  :-)  There are many many little trees down along the water and in the woods here for the beavers to cut down.  More and more grow every year too so there is enough trees for everyone to be happy with.  I can see how some beavers could cause trouble for people who live in housing communities by cutting down their trees, but my beavers are living in a place where they cause no harm.  If you want to read a bit about beavers check out this website.
There are four entrances to the park that you can drive to and park.  Today I walked to each one and took a picture of the entrances.
This is the main entrance and is in the south area.
This one is the west entrance.
The north entrance.
The east entrance and the one I use.
There are two other entrances that are just paths and have no place for cars to park.
They make it easy for people who live close by to walk there.
Here are those two entrances.

There are three other paths that I know of where people have made on their own to get to the lake.  One leads to a road and the other two lead to peoples back yards, but I didn't take any pictures of them.  Oh how nice it must be to have this park and lake right in your back yard.  :-)
Today I walked 6.6 miles.
I also found a dime.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though it's been a warm day with temperatures in the 70's as promised, I thought there would be more sunshine.  It's been a cloudy day, but hey you can't complain with those warm temps.
I've kept busy today.
  • I've got two loads of laundry hanging out to dry.
  • Finished up the Friday housework.
  • Did Body Electric (exercise).
  • Watered my few houseplants - poor things were really thirsty.  I am so bad about watering them.
  • Washed my car - the water was black when I got finished.
  • While the garage was empty I thought it a good time to sweep it out.
  •
While I was doing all that I forgot to eat lunch so didn't eat until after 2:00.  I've read blogs and now I have to go and take in the clothes.  Then I'd like to knit some on that scarf of mine.
We have a gift card and so tonight we are going to eat supper out at Red Lobster.  Lucky us. :-)
Hope your Friday is nice and warm.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone  :-)
This quote today is a bit harsh don't you think? It did not surprise me that it is from an anonymous writer.
People have often described me as a blogger.  I generally shy away from the term because, to me, bloggers are boring, self obsessed narcissists who use their website mainly as a means to discuss the inconsequential minutiae of their day to day lives.
