Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another windy day

Another windy morning, 64 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise 6:39
Liking these lighter mornings.
Soon I won't even have to turn on my headlights driving to town.

This time I walked one big loop all around town including the cemeteries and the ball park.
Then started to repeat the loop again but didn't have to complete it before I had all my steps in.

This time the rooster stood on a bale of chicken wire crowing for me this morning.

The skunk cabbage has popped up.
It doesn't smell like a skunk until you rub the leaves together and then it really does smell like a skunk.
I know I've tried it.

I stopped to talk to Kermit and his wife Elaine who were out in their yard.

Over at the pond I spotted a couple of red winged black birds and also heard and then saw a killdeer.

Sure have been some great walking weather mornings lately.

😊    🌷    🥾    🌤

Did a load of laundry and the usual morning house chores.

We went to the library to pick up a couple of DVD's that Ken had reserved.
The 3 books I have on reserve haven't come in yet.

Since I put a jigsaw puzzle up on Jigidi I've renewed my interest there and have  been spending a bit of time doing puzzles there.

Supper tonight is meatloaf, baked potatoes, and beets.
Giving the meatloaf a Mexican flavor by adding salsa, chili powder, crushed Tostitos, as well as the usual egg and onions.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a wonderful day.

Tom - I had no idea that there were that many different varieties forsythia!!

Ginny - No, the cow didn't have triplets.  The only calf of hers is the one closest to her. The others just happened to be there.

GrannyM - The mountain pink from yesterday is also called creeping phlox.  My mom always called it mountain pink.

Your supper sounds delicious...but too hot and spicy for me. I hope you enjoy it!
I had no idea that skunk cabbage smells like skunk, but I guess it lives up to its name!

The clouds in your first picture are so fluffy and pretty. I guess the rooster wanted to do his best crowing for you today. That's so cute. I love to watch the killdeer.

I'll take your word on the skunk cabbage and not experiment myself, thank you. :) That first photo is such a beauty! Laughing at the rooster!
