Another windy morning, 64 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise 6:39
Liking these lighter mornings.
Soon I won't even have to turn on my headlights driving to town.
Then started to repeat the loop again but didn't have to complete it before I had all my steps in.
This time the rooster stood on a bale of chicken wire crowing for me this morning.
The skunk cabbage has popped up.
It doesn't smell like a skunk until you rub the leaves together and then it really does smell like a skunk.
I know I've tried it.
I stopped to talk to Kermit and his wife Elaine who were out in their yard.
Over at the pond I spotted a couple of red winged black birds and also heard and then saw a killdeer.
Sure have been some great walking weather mornings lately.
😊 🌷 🥾 🌤
Did a load of laundry and the usual morning house chores.
We went to the library to pick up a couple of DVD's that Ken had reserved.
The 3 books I have on reserve haven't come in yet.
Since I put a jigsaw puzzle up on Jigidi I've renewed my interest there and have been spending a bit of time doing puzzles there.
Supper tonight is meatloaf, baked potatoes, and beets.
Giving the meatloaf a Mexican flavor by adding salsa, chili powder, crushed Tostitos, as well as the usual egg and onions.
That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a wonderful day.
HappyK😊

Tom - I had no idea that there were that many different varieties forsythia!!
Ginny - No, the cow didn't have triplets. The only calf of hers is the one closest to her. The others just happened to be there.
GrannyM - The mountain pink from yesterday is also called creeping phlox. My mom always called it mountain pink.

What lovely photos, Karen! I love all the views and seeing the chickens....and the rooster ruling the roost! LOL!
Your supper sounds delicious...but too hot and spicy for me. I hope you enjoy it!
I had no idea that skunk cabbage smells like skunk, but I guess it lives up to its name!
I enjoyed reading about your walk. That rooster on the chicken wire made me smile. Master of all that he sees!
Dinner sounds delicious!
skunk cabbage may stinks, but it's a sure sign of spring!
That is a beautiful scene in your first photograph.
All the best Jan
I love that first photo, and also enjoy seeing that rooster again. He's showing he's the king!
Your meatloaf sounds like a winner.
It is nice to finally have nicer weather. The meatloaf sounds good.
That is a beautiful rooster!
The clouds in your first picture are so fluffy and pretty. I guess the rooster wanted to do his best crowing for you today. That's so cute. I love to watch the killdeer.
Your scenic photo is gorgeous! I love the rooster standing on the roll of wire. Your dinner sounds delicious. Good to know that cows don't have triplets, I bet I gave you a laugh!
The meatloaf sounds good and serve with some Mexican street corn on the cob - yum
What a lovely day!!!
Hello,
The weather has been great for walking.
Love the photos, the chickens are cute.
Take care, have a happy day!
It's still windy and very cold here too. God bless.
Beautiful walk! I usually wear a hat or some kind of headband when I walk when it's windy. I do not l ke my hair blowing in my face!
The rooster has a great place to stand and watch everything go by.
I'll take your word on the skunk cabbage and not experiment myself, thank you. :) That first photo is such a beauty! Laughing at the rooster!
