Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happy April

Only 29 degrees this morning so back to wearing all my layers.
It was cloudy with a bit of a breeze.
Just down the road from my house I slowed down because I saw
some deer up in the field.
They all decided to cross the road right in front of me.
It was nice to watch a parade of 9 deer saunter across the road.

Walked around both cemeteries and then over to the ball park.
Then just around town up and down the streets.

Quiet around town this Tuesday morning.
No one else out walking that I saw.
Sunrise was 7:00

☁️     🙂    ☁️

Was going to hang the sheets that I washed out on the line but
the deck had ice all over it so just kept them inside
on the big drying rack.
Thought I'd be done with that for the season.

We went out and did a couple of errands after lunch.

Sun came out in the afternoon and was 42 degrees
so I then hung the sheets outside on the line to finish drying.

Put some chicken in the crock pot this morning and then shredded
it this afternoon for future meals.
Made Air Fried Chicken Tenders for supper.
We had a baked potato and broccoli along with it.

I've been knitting the two rows on my temperature blanket each day.
It's been three months now.
If you want to see the progress you can see it

Happy April
Here's the picture from my calendar.
(the one I got from the lumber store in town)

Hope you had a wonderful Tuesday and no one tricked you
this April Fools Day.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for leaving a comment.😄

That’s a herd of deer! 🦌 Wow the only time I see that is when I’m in the forest and it’s a treat. I’m thinking you must have a second set of sheets in case the ones drying do not get dried in time.

Your dinner sounds good. I don’t have many small appliances and have heard mixed reviews on the air fryer. What brand do you have and size? There’s just the two of us so don’t need a huge one.

It seems strange that every day I come and see what you had for your supper. Meanwhile I haven't even begun to prepare ours. I wonder what the time difference between us is. ( I'm on the west coast of B.C.)

Hi Karen. Your temperature blanket is beautiful! Glad you an another nice day! I love the scripture at the end. P.S. I just got a Striiv Fitness Tracker like yours. I was not very pleased with the first one I bought, and you said you like your Striive so I got one too!

Happy April. Sounds like it’s still a bit chilly, but those deer crossing the road must have been such a peaceful moment to witness. It’s nice that you got to enjoy the quiet of your town during your walk. Even though the weather is still a bit unpredictable, it seems like you made the most of it — hanging the sheets out when you could and getting some things done in the kitchen. I bet those air-fried chicken tenders were a delicious dinner! And your temperature blanket is looking great after three months — it must be so fun to see it grow every day. Thanks for sharing such a cozy, productive day with us! I hope your April continues to bring more sunny moments.

How nice to be able to watch the deer. Your temperature blanket is looking really nice. I love the varied width of the stripes. If you didn't know this was following temperatures it would still be very eye catching.
The only trick here yesterday was the weather which wasn't very cheery.

And the temperature blanket – three months in already. That’s awesome progress! I bet it’s really starting to show some beautiful patterns now. Also, the air-fried chicken tenders and baked potatoes sound like the perfect dinner after a busy day.

I hope the ice on the deck melts for good soon so you can get back to hanging your laundry outside without the hassle. Here’s to a lovely April with more sunshine and less ice.

Looking forward to Easter this month. Thankful for the resurrection every day! Glad the ice on your deck melted. We are starting out this morning with fog.

There are places here on the farm that deer find convenient for crossings. We joke that we need to put up crossing signs for the deer. I like your commitment on the blanket of two rows each day.
