Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Book Club Day

No sunny walk, but no rain or snow either.🙂
It was 39 degrees, with a slight breeze and cloudy.

Sunrise 6:46

Had my usual walk all around town, the cemeteries and the ball park.
I usually walk the same places each day just change routes around.

Nothing happening around town,
just people going to work.
So many people in cars and truck wave to me as I walk along.

Grass seed and straw was put down on the empty lot.
Sure looks better than the falling down house.

☁️    🙂    🌷

Finally got housework done this morning.
Hopped right to it after breakfast and got quite a lot done.
Wanted to get a lot done before I had to leave for my book club
meeting at 11:15.

There were 9 of us there this time.
I recommended
The Frozen River that I liked so much.
A couple other people read it and liked it too so that was put on the list.
Won't know what the book will be for the following month until
Judy lets us know in a email.
She finds out which books are readily available.
It might be
The Librarian by Amanda Jones.
I already put in on reserve.
Even if it is not the book chosen still want to read it.

I've also put on reserve
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morgan.

Did a bit more housework and then read and knitted.

I'm really liking my new office chair!!!

One of my favorite suppers tonight,
Roasted Sausage and Vegetables.

Hope you had a happy Thursday.
Thanks for visiting.

Ginny - Who is your blog friend from LaVale?  Perhaps I read her blog too.

That was a dark and cloudy sky. Glad you didn't get wet!
The area where the house was looks nice.
I need to make sausage and veggies again too. It's a favorite here as well.

My blog friend is Bobbi Phillip. She used to run her own hearing aid business. I'm glad you like the chair! I know it can be hard to find a good one. You can sit on it in the store and it feels good. But then after spending longer in it at home, it can be uncomfortable.

I'm glad you like your new computer chair. I missed yesterday's post so I had to go back and read it. Now that I'm outside more I find I am sometimes behind and have to catch up.

I've been shooting for once a week to do all the housework in one day with a bit of picking up here and there in between. I don't seem to have a regular schedule though.
Roasted sausage and vegetables sounds really good.

Hi Karen. I have heard many good things about that book - The Frozen River. I need to put it on hold at the library. Glad you like your new office chair. A good supportive chair is so important! I hope you have a good weekend! See you again soon.

Sausage and veggies are a favorite around here. Cold and wet here today, but me and Calvin still got our walk in.
