Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

It was raining when I got up this morning but by the time
I got dressed and left for town the rain had stopped.
41 degrees and no breeze with some fog.
Sunrise 6:44

First walked around the cemetery on the hill and then the other one.
Around town and the around the ball park loop.

Counted 12 chickens out in the yard.
One of them is hiding.
Do you see the one playing King of the Tire?

Some of the gravestones have pictures engraved on them.
Each Friday I'll post one.
Here's the first one.
Most of pictures are on the front but this one is on the back.

☁️    🙂    🌷

Just a couple of things left for this weeks house cleaning and got
that done right after breakfast. (Blueberry Pancakes)

Then read a while before lunch.

In the afternoon I spent some time knitting.
Knitted on the hat to go with the infinity scarf.
Besides that I have 4 other yarn projects I'm working on.
Weave-it blanket
Bedspread
Shawl
Temperature Blanket
Nice to have a few projects going!!

It's Friday and we had our usual homemade pizza for supper.

Hope you enjoyed your Friday.
Thanks for stopping by.

You're working on a lot of things!

I assume the person whose gravestone that is was loved golf.
Pretty flowers.
Those hens have such a good life compared to their sisters that are confined to cages.

The grave of a golfer. And it is freshly and beautifully decorated as well. He must have been very loved.

Karen, very nice header photo! You inspire me with your ability to publish your daily routine in such a fine way. In this post I got a kick out of the gravestone with the guy playing golf. Maybe he is in a place now where every swing is a hole-in-one? 😊 Thanks for sharing your blog and for your kind comments on mine. John

The other chickens don't seem to be too impressed by the one playing kind. Obviously a self imposed title.
I like the gravestones with the pictures engraved on them. My dad's has a plane on his.

Snowing here this Saturday morning as I read your post. Don't think the pile of mulch delivered yesterday will get spread on the flower beds today.

No doubt about what that person enjoyed while he was alive. :)

Love the chicken photo. It looks like someone loved to golf.
Take care, have a great weekend.

Modern gravestones show quite a range of personal memories. I have friends who had a picture of their travel trailer engraved on theirs.

Great chicken photo. Is that the chicken to see if you're interested in getting a tire?:)
