Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Outside and sunshine

No snow this morning and 23 degrees.
Would have been a good day for walking in town but now the problem is
that in town there are no good places to walk.
No one shovels their sidewalks and the snow is too deep to walk around
the cemeteries and the ball park.

I walked part of my walk inside this morning.

Then I finished up the house work for the week.
There was a nice sturdy table down in the basement that I cleaned
up and brought upstairs to use for a sewing table.
I put it next to my desk in the office right under the window.
Now I wish I had bought the sewing machine yesterday.

After lunch I walked down the driveway while Ken was clearing it again
with the tractor.

Then I continued walking and went up the lane.

Stopped here to take a picture.
That is town off in the distance.

This is at the top of the lane.

I walked up and down the lane a few times.

Look at this, we even had blue sky and sunshine.

What a joy to be out walking in the snow with the sun shining
and the temperature was a warm 24 degrees.
And Yes that did seem warm!

Read some this afternoon and for supper we had
Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, and Broccoli.

Hope your Friday was a good one and thanks for stopping by.
HappyK🙂

I do not know how you could have carried this table upstairs!! It is a nice little table and will be good for a sewing machine. The sky is such a pretty intense blue!

We had some blue sky today too - so nice to see it! 24 degrees sounds good to me too.
Your pictures are really pretty. I like that lane!

You live in such a beautiful place. Always love a Winter blue sky. To me it always seems a deeper more vibrant blue. Janice

I think a trip to town to buy the sewing machine will be happening very soon. That's the way it is when we get enthusiastic about a new project. Can't wait to start.

How beautiful it looks around your home. Are you in the US or a different country? Looks like you have some good snow...we have very little again this winter. Take care!
