Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Temperature Blanket

More inside walking today.
Morning was warm so some melting is going on which just makes a real mess.
Temperature dropped throughout the day with more snow coming
tonight and is supposed to be very cold for the next bunch of days.

Met the ladies at the library for a morning of Needlework.
There were 6 of us there today.
Mikie is going to start knitting a Temperature Blanket
when the yarn she ordered for it arrives.
I had never heard of a Temperature Blanket before and when Mikie
explained it I thought what a great idea and I'm going to make one
of my own.
I'm going to start mine the first of February.
If you don't know what it is you can check it out

I spotted the book, The Grey Wolf by Louise Penny
on the display table at the library and checked it out.
It is book number 19 in the Armand Gamache series.
I didn't know she had written another book in the series so was glad
I happened to see it.

Before going to the library I stopped at the post office
to mail off a small package.
It should arrive on Friday at your house Debby. 🙂

We took the puzzle apart and got out the next one.
This one is a brand new one.
Just made a start on it and still have to lay out the pieces and
find all the border pieces.
It should be a fun one
Dad Jokes.

Made a few more changes around the house.
This time on the hutch.
Figured I don't have to have dishes on it all the time.
This is nice for a change.

Started reading my library book.

Supper tonight was steak, fried onions, and cheese sandwiches on a roll.

That's all I have for today.
Hope all is well with you and your day was a happy one.
Thanks for stopping by.
HappyK🙂

The blanket is great idea! I had to look it up.

Karen, what did you do before you retired?

A 'Dad Jokes' puzzle should be fun :)

All the best Jan

That puzzle looks like a fun one.

Stay warm while winter lasts. I am plugging away at a puzzle and am finding it challenging. It's two White-tailed deer, a buck and a doe.

...Alana at https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/

makes temperature blankets too. We will get cold too and I'm going to put an extra blanket on the bed!

The cabinet is lovely. I especially like the cow and the red pitcher. And the plates on the wall next to it look so nice, especially next to the pretty blue wall. Never heard of a temperature blanket! Something new I learned, sounds like fun!

Hi Karen. The temperature blanket will be a fun one to knit. I like the way the cabinet looks now. I'm afraid I don't really change things around very much in my house. We are going to have a cold week here too. I like the new puzzle you are working on. Have a nice Sunday!

Hello,
I have never heard of a temperature blanket, it is pretty.
This week is supposed to be very cold.
The Dad Joke puzzle looks fun!
Take care, have a great day and a wonderful week!

Cool idea with that blanket. I think I could handle doing just one row a day. Then again I might end up skipping a lot of days.
The hutch looks great. Love the Hummels. My daughter has a bunch of them that used to belong to her grandmother

What a tempting idea .... the temperature blanket. I’d never heard of that. My focus this year is to do projects with yarn that has “lived” with me for a long time - so long that I can’t remember when I got it - but yarn that I still LOVE! So as tempting as that blanket is - I am going to stay focused on my personal goal, but I can’t wait to see how your blanket goes - hoping you will give updates.

I have a co-worker who made a temperature blanket and showed it to me. A neat idea however it would clash with my decor if I made one. A dad joke puzzle would be fun. Your hutch is sweet too. Janice

That will be a fun puzzle to complete. Greg and I just finished the Grey Wolf this past week and returned it to the library. I'll click over and see what a temperature blanket is now. Have a good SONday!

I’m so dunce - I thought the temperature blanket was some special yarn made into a blanket. Boy was I off! That is a neat blanket idea.

Thank you for your gift. You are so kind.

How many jigsaws do you complete in a year? I'd still be on my first one.

God bless.

Love your giraffe. Does it have a story? Just finished reading a charming book about America’s first zoo giraffes, “West with Giraffes” by Lynda Rutledge.

The temperature blanket sounds like fun. A friend knitted one that includes the name of each month in a contrasting stitch. I need to find a project to use up the wool I already have.

Thank you for the information on the heated blanket.

Love the look of the new arrangement on the hutch.
