Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Snowy Walk

A walk in the snow this morning and a little more than
flurries this time.
23 degrees and windy.
Got to town and started walking at 6:35.
Sunrise 7:20

Took this picture at the start of my walk.

Up and down the roads in town I walked, around the ball park
and both of the cemeteries.
Snow covered roads but the only place it was slippery was where
the cars drove and packed it down.
Where I walked it was good.

A couple of snowy pictures as I walked along.

I didn't mind the snow and it was kind of nice walking in a snow globe.
Very quiet and calming.

The snow didn't amount to much and at the end of my walk it had
mostly stopped.

A last picture before getting back to the Jeep.

No one else out and about on this first snowy morning of spring.

This morning after breakfast we headed up to Grantsville
and went shopping at Casselman's.
Only needed a few things so were in and out in no time.

By lunch time, though it was still cold and windy, the sun
was shining and it was a pretty day.

Did a little bit of house work and then knitted.

Supper tonight is
Roast beef
Mashed potatoes
Cauliflower and broccoli

That's all I have for today.
Happy Spring and Tuesday.
Thanks for visiting,
happyone❤️

It looks as if you had a little more snow than we did. Ours was all melted by noon. There's just something about the snow that brings a calming effect upon us.

Your menu for tonight sounds delicious?

SNOW!!? I just was so incredibly surprised when I pulled up your blog and saw snow!! I had to check the date:) It cannot be legal to snow on the first day of spring - lol! And, you are not that far from us. Oh my. Glad you enjoyed your walk...it really does look peaceful!

We have had a beautiful, bright and sunny first day of spring here in Utah, but more rain and snow is expected this week. Roast beef for dinner sounds yummy! Have a good Wednesday!

Lovely snow on the first day of Spring!
We're supposed to have a "significant" snow storm affecting travel on Friday. Hope the weathermen are wrong.
We had your supper last night, but with roasted carrots instead of cauliflower and broccoli.

Hello,
Winter does not seem ready to leave us just yet.
It is cold, especially early in the morning.
Pretty snowy scenes and photos.
Take care, have a great day!

Much as I dislike snow anymore I would have loved to be walking in that! It is so peaceful and calming!

Glad it was the kind of snow you could have a nice walk in. We have been enjoying near to 70 degree weather here in northern Idaho. Things are supposed to turn again to colder temps this weekend. Happy Spring to you!
