Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Found Recipes

In town and walking at 6:30.
It was 40 degrees and finally no wind.
Dark of course when I first got there but at 7:31 the sun rose.
Took this picture at 7:55 when the sun was just getting to town.

Walked around town under the street lights and then when it was light
walked around both cemeteries and the ball park.

They started putting the skirting around the module home
which is across the street from the cemetery.

Walking down the hill from the cemetery I saw a big 18 wheeler
turn down the road and stop by the church and left just enough
room for cars to go around him.
I thought for sure when I got close he would ask me for directions.
That happens every so often and from walking all over town I know
every square inch of town.
But he didn't and after a while he turned around in the pond
parking lot and left town the same way he came in.

There was of mix of sun and clouds and

We went to the dump to drop off our trash and on the way home
stopped in at the Shop and Save to get the tortilla shells that we forgot yesterday.
(I kept tight hold on my purse!! 🙂)
So many comments about my almost lost purse.
Seems that is a very real fear for most of us.

I was tidying up my cookbooks and started looking through one of them.
While looking through it I came across three recipes I had been looking for
but couldn't remember where they were.
One was fish and chips.
I wrote in the margin - Tastes just like the real thing.
Another was donut holes with sugar and cinnamon.
The third was a lemon cake.

I'll be making all three in the near future!!

Having a quick and easy supper tonight.
One of our frozen pizzas.
We always make two and freeze one for days like this.

That's all for today.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Happy Wednesday

It was a pretty morning here too. I left in the dark and the sun was rising beautifully on my drive. Rain predicted for tomorrow.
The modular house is looking nice.
Your recipes sound good!

We used to live across the street from a large cemetery. In fact, our street was named the same as the cemetery.

Hi Karen. So glad you found those lost recipes! Sounds like you will be making some delicious meals you had forgotten about. That modular home looks nice and it sure has a nice big garage. Yes, losing my purse or phone is a fear I have and I am sure most people would agree. I hope you have a good Thursday. See you again soon!

We just had the most delicious fish and chips on Sunday! There is a stand in my brother’s town that makes them just like we’ve had in the U.K. I would never be able to make them myself. Good luck with your recipe!

I'd be curious why that semi pulled up by the church then left after a short while. Things like that make me wonder.
Nice that you found your recipes. Last week I bought a lemon to make a certain recipe that I can't remember where I saw it. The recipe, not the lemon.

Fish and chips sounds so good. Glad you were able to find the three recipes you had been looking for.
I wonder if the semi was checking his GPS

The modular home is coming along nicely! I'm curious about the fish and chips. What real thing do they taste like?

Funny how those recipes sometimes hide in strange places :). What a nice surprise to discover them once again. They all sound promising.
Since my near miss with losing my purse, I only shop with a crossbody bag.

Kudos to your for walking before the sun comes up. That would be one of my fears - walking when it is dark. Not that our area isn't not typically safe but more that I am a scaredy cat!! Hooray for no more wind!!
