Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A blooming daffidol

Thunder storms passed by last night and it was very windy.
Sounded like a train going by which made me think of a tornado.
Light drizzle driving to town but once I got out of the Jeep
it had stopped and the rest of my walk was just cloudy.
On the way to town I saw 6 deer in the field.
A rabbit ran across the road and then a groundhog.
It was a warm 54 degrees and just a bit breezy.
Got to town at 6:40 and sunrise was 7:27.

The fountain in the town pond as been turned on.

Had one of those random walks all over town with no usual route in mind.
Went around the ball park and one of the cemeteries.

As I was walking past the hair salon in town a man was getting
out of his truck who I see driving by often and he walked over to me.
Said he sees me walking every day and asked all the usual questions.
Told me he bought a pair of walking shoes and wants to start walking
but is waiting for better weather.
With a smile I told him if he was waiting for perfect weather
he wouldn't be walking very often! 🙂

Today was a good day - warm and dry!!

The man who runs loops around the ball park was out and running.

I spotted the first blooming daffodils in town.

Though it was warm enough to hang clothes outside it looked
like rain so kept them inside on the drying rack.
It was a good decision because it did rain.

Under my sink (two sinks, one for me and one for Ken) in the bathroom
was a mess and time for cleaning and organizing.
Now it's all neat and tidy again.

I knitted on the green baby blanket and read.
I'm reading a free book I got on my Kindle quite a while ago.
by Johnny Moscato.
I've read about a quarter of it and it is a page turner for sure.
Not for the easily scared person.
Click on the above link to check it out.
Probably won't have time for blog reading this evening but I'll catch
up with you all tomorrow.
I'm pretty sure I'll be reading that book this evening.

It's Friday so that means pizza for us.
Bought a basil plant so this evening we will be having fresh basil on it.

That's it for today.
Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by.

That daffodil is so pretty. Ours are all out now and it makes our back yard look so cheerful.

Enjoy your pizza with the fresh basil.

Enjoy that book!

That fountain looks nice all it up like that. Daffodils are always a welcome sight this time of year.

The book looks really interesting; I have not heard of it. I have grown Basil plants, they are so easy!

I love dafodils. They are the first sign of spring. I also love the cherry trees that bloom this time of year.

I love daffodils... they are a sure sign that spring is near and they are so cheerful looking. I would not enjoy the book that you are reading. I don't scare easily but the world seems topsy turvy right now so I'm leaning toward happier, lighter reads! Have a great weekend!

Hooray for the daffodils blooming again! Such a hopeful time of year. Fun to see the fountain back on, too.
