Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

Left the house and drove to town at 6:30 this morning for my walk.
No fog today but on and off again rain.
A warm morning at 52 degrees with some wind.
Sunrise 7:29

Walked the town loop and then around both cemeteries
and the ball park loop a couple of times.

Too windy to use my umbrella and too warm to wear my
rain slicker and rain pants so just got wet when it rained.
Would just about get dry from the wind and then
it would rain again.
That's okay at least it wasn't ice and snow!

Walked down to see the bulls but they still weren't there.
They were probably sold but could have been moved to another pasture.

Look at all that mud.  Glad I didn't have to walk that way.

Headed back to the Jeep and home.

Walked 6 miles
Found a nickel

🌧     ☁️     🌧     🌤

By late morning the sun was shining but it was very windy.

We went to a local tractor store for their open house.

Not that exciting but nice to walk around.

This is their new barn.

There were a few horses inside the barn.
This one had his mane in plaits.

On the way home we stopped and did a few errands.

Was going to go outside and pick up dead fall but it was so windy
we decided to just stay inside.

Got some reading done and also a few more squares.

That's been my day.
A happy day to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

...your first uimage has a lonely feel to it. I see that mud season has arrived to your neck of the woods!

I like the braided mane on that horse. Do you have any idea what that is in the purple net bag? I'm just curious.

Great photos today. Yikes you'd lose a shoe for sure if you tried to walk in that mud! Love the horses mane all plaited. Pretty. That's a nice looking barn. Glad you had a non freezing day to walk.

Its so nice that you don't have to worry much about crowds and this crazy COVID-19 thing out there where you live. Have a good weekend.

A fun post today! My favorite pictures of the day are of you and the mirror, and the horse, of course!

I like your attitude about the rain. No good to try to fight it so like that you were able to just enjoy it.

I don’t care for a windy day either. It’s been nice a warm here with overcast and some wind.

We've sure had an abundance of mud and wind this winter. Here, the mud is red. :)
