Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Evening Sky

Took these two picture when we got home from church last evening.
From the bottom of our driveway
and from the top.
🌄     🌄
Left at 6:35 this morning on my walk.
64 degrees and sunny but with some early morning low hanging clouds.
Walked to town and went to the post office to drop some mail (Netflix)
down the slot.

Then walked the rest of the way through town to the Dollar General
where I turned around and headed back home again.

Didn't see any other walkers or runners today
and no deer either.
Just me, the birds, and the rabbits!

Walking past the bakery on the other side of the road I looked down
and saw something shiny at the edge of the road.
A quarter!!
 ðŸ™‚

Ken went up to the cabin to do a little work
while I did some house cleaning jobs.

Got the trailer hooked up to the truck and went to pick up the
church riding mower that was at the shop getting fixed
and dropped it off at church.
Thankfully Pastor mows that lawn!! 😃

Met the man who installed the radon gas vent on Monday
at the old house this afternoon.
The test was concluded today to see if the vent was doing it's job.
Happy to say yes, it is now UNDER the recommended levels.

We had BLT's for supper this evening but not with
a tomato from our garden.
Don't know if the garden this year will produce any at all!

It was a good day but it seemed to have zoomed by.
Looking forward to some ice cream later.

Hope your day was a good one.
Happy August
happyone 🥰

LOVE that first shot! I like the cows on the hill, too. Lorelei is here for a night or two, so it has turned into a wonderful day. LOL Supper is over and dishes are washed...got to give Roger's meds, then I can relax for a bit. Ice creams sounds pretty good to me..

Too bad about the lack of ripening tomatoes in your garden. Ours are really slow this year but at least we've had a couple now.
BLTs sound good...it's been a while since I made those. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Karen- Yes some days just zip bye without us noticing it- it is a good plan to wake in the morning with an idea to get something achieved. That said- I didn't stick to my plan to-day and have done very little- some design work and that is about it. Have a great weekend there. Regards. KEV.
