Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

David and Liz arrive

Left the house at 6:37
62 degrees and cloudy with a little breeze
Sunrise 6:24

Once again I walked to town.
This time went to the post office and dropped some mail down the slot.
Met Ruth Ann there and stopped for a short chat.
She is the woman who gets the water bill that
I put down the slot at public works.

Continued over to the ball park and walked that loop,
then back through town and home.

A pretty garden in a yard that I walk passed on the highway
on my way to town.
I think it looks so pretty up there on the hill.

Not long after I arrived home, the clouds gave way to
a sunny day, and a cool one too.
Beautiful weather!
🌤     🌤
After breakfast I made some chocolate chipppers.
Always have some made for David when he comes.

David and Liz arrived a little before 12:00.
Sure was nice to see him again and meet Liz.
We gave them a tour of the house
and walked around happy trails.

They left to put their things in the Cabin and went
to explore around the area a bit.
They are due back any time now for supper.
Looking forward to spending the evening with them.

Hope your day was a happy one.

So much joy when your kids come home, isn't it? Even if you see them often. That is a pretty flower garden for sure.

Hope you enjoy your visit. I love it when the kids come for a visit. You take the most beautiful pictures, and there is so much beauty around where you live. That snapping turtle looks a little mean, doesn't he? We've caught four in our pond. Poppy traps them and carry them away. We think that is why we no longer have any catfish in the pond.
