13 degrees this morning and once again the snow was coming down
but the wind has died down.
Stayed inside again this morning and walked down in the basement.
We went over to the old house this morning and spent another
morning painting. Feels like those kitchen cabinets are never
going to get done.
Ken went around and got all the switch plate and outlet
covers off all the walls to get ready for painting.
Will do the basement after we finish the main floor.
Picture is of some snow covered cone flowers that I never
cut down in the fall.
After lunch the sun finally made an appearance and the
temperature went up to 18 degrees.
So I put on my warmest coat and went outside.
Walked up and down the lane a couple of times.
Nice to get outside and feel some sun on my face.
Took this one this afternoon too looking right at the sun.
Worked some more on the counted cross stitch
and read some more this afternoon.
Haven't had ice cream for a few days and looking forward
to having some later this evening.
Hope your day was a happy one.

Amazing all the weather changes with a tilt in the Earth's axis.
...I need to mark my calendar, we actually had some sun and blue sky today!
I love that last shot...and the snow on the coneflowers...if that were here I would call it Indiana cotton! LOL Should just call it Northern Cotton.
I played in my fabrics this afternoon but did not sew a single stitch.
Your snow covered flowers look like little cones of snow. So pretty...and your last photo is just so stunning, Karen. Those cabinets will get finished before you know it. Enjoy your ice cream.
The snow covered cone-flowers are so pretty.
Life is good indeed - but looks like very cold your way too ... brrrrrrr
Pretty pictures, especially the snowy coneflowers.
Now, there's another good reason for leaving those dried flower stalks into winter. Aren't they just so lovely covered in snow? We were within two degrees of getting freezing precipitation today, but no, not yet. I loved your last puzzle, so colorful and busy.
That last shot is stunning.
It is cold just looking at these photos.
God bless.
Very cold there, too, I see. This is our first below zero morning of the new year. Hope we don’t get too many. I admire your enthusiasm for being out of doors to find some sun and fresh air.Sometimes I stand on my deck to get some fresh air, but wlaking on all this ice is treacherous even with sand and salt. Happy getting the painting done!
Great capture of the light in the clouds!
Lovely picture. It is cold here too - but then it is winter. We have been walking at the mall as much as possible. Good luck with your painting at the old house. Have a good weekend.
Great photos...and it is looking a lot like COLD WINTER there, too. Just like here. I hope you have a great weekend. xo Diana
13 Degrees! and we have talked about how cold it is here today at 40 degrees. It has been dark cloudy all day, a dreary looking day. At least snow would brighten things up. :) Your pictures are always beautiful. I put a couple of limbs on the fence today and thought about you. It's funny how I think of you when I work on the fence or when I dip our Turkey Hill ice cream at night.
We're very warm here in Northern Canada - we have snow but not a lot. However, late next week, it might get super cold. Ugh! I'm okay with Winter if the temperatures are not too bad. But super cold ..... makes me move slow! Hopefully it won't last long. Chy
I like your weather photos, especially the snow flowers. It was cold in the mountains Friday as well, but no snow. I think that is changing today.
Love that last photograph.
Hope you enjoyed your ice cream.
All the best Jan
