Jinxed lasagna

This morning was just like yesterday - temperature in the low 50's and sunny.  Now that the days are getting shorter, i no longer get up when the sun is shining. It rises around the time i get outside and it won't be long before i'll be starting in the dark once again.
I didn't plan on walking around the lake.  I started out going up the street toward the liquor store and i felt like i should turn around so i did and headed out toward the lake.  I walked along a bit and started going down another road, then once again i felt like i should go over to the lake so this time i listened and went to the lake.  I believe that God directs my life and i didn't know why but knew i should walk around the lake.
I was about half way around the lake and coming toward me was Carol, a woman who goes to my church.  Her and her husband are frequent walkers around the lake and i see them often.  She was on her own today and asked if i would mind if she walked with me.  That was when i knew this was the reason i was supposed to walk around the lake.  We walked and talked all the way back to the path that leads me back home.  She hugged me, turned around and with a smile headed back home too.

I stopped on the red bridge that i posted a picture of yesterday and today i took a picture standing on the bridge looking out at the lake.  There was a mist on the water again till the sun chased it away.
I saw one baby deer on its own on the way to the lake.  I didn't really notice much around me after i started walking with Carol.  I don't mind walking with people once in a while, but i really prefer to walk alone.
I walked 6.1 miles.

I didn't need a lot but there were some things i needed in the way of food so i made up a short list (20 items) and headed out to the commissary.  It was such a pretty sunny day that i drove the long way there.  The end of the month it is usually crowded but not today - no line at all.  Renovations are not quite finished yet and it wasn't easy finding a couple of things but eventually i got all on my list.
There are cashiers and baggers and the baggers work for tips only.  I have canvas bags that i use and one is insulated for the cold stuff.  I know i've mention this before but the baggers have a hard time getting the cold stuff in the bag even when i mention to please to that.  Today i put all the cold stuff together with the insulated bag and asked the bagger to please put the cold stuff in the insulated bag.  I'm standing there and she starts putting the cheese and butter in a regular bag.  I said, those would be the things to go in the insulated bag.  She said oh yeah.  I just don't understand what is so hard about getting that right.  Yes, i still gave her a tip.

Read quite a bit this afternoon because i have a book due tomorrow.  I still have 100 pages to read so i guess i'll be going to the library tomorrow evening instead of during the day!

I made lasagna tonight for supper and ended up eating it alone.  The phone rang a little after 6 and when i saw that it was Ken calling i laughed because i knew he wasn't making it home for supper and i had just taken the lasagna out of the oven.  I laughed because i think my lasagna must be jinxed.  The last time i made it was when Debbie,  a co-worker had car trouble and he was late and brought her home for dinner.  The time before that was just like tonight!  I think next time i will make it on a weekend when Ken is already at home!!   It's funny too because he usually calls me earlier and i know not to cook anything.

I am going to go and read some more of that book now and when Ken gets home and eats his lasagna supper i will eat my ice cream. : )

Hope all is going well in your part of the world.

My Tuesday

A nice cool sunny morning for walking with a temperature of 52 degrees.  It was a sweatshirt morning and i didn't even get hot and have to push up my sleeves.  Love these mornings!!
I encountered quite a few people out enjoying the morning and there were a couple of boats out on the lake too.  There was a mist over the water when i first got there but that soon disappeared.
I'm coming up to a red footbridge here in this picture which i've walked over so many times i can't even count.
And here it is as i'm about to walk across.
The geese have all gone again but there were lots of ducks around.
All the trees that were across the path yesterday have all been cut up and moved off the path.  They sure were quick about getting the paths cleared for us.
Today i walked 6.4 miles.
Sunrise 6:34
Sunset 7:42
*********************************************
It was a nice cool sunny day for sitting outside for the Tuesday morning knitting group.  I didn't get much knitting done but did enjoy talking. : )

One of Ken's coworkers is still without power and we have a generator and since we were lucky enough not to have to use it, Ken offered her the use of ours.  So she followed him home and to get the generator.  She had gotten a letter from the power company saying they wouldn't have their power back on until Sunday, but when she got home the power was already on so she doesn't need the generator after all.

After supper we went out to do a couple of errands.  One was to stop at BJ's and get some candy, cookies, chips and other goodies.  No, not for us.  Ken sells them at work for a small profit and then donates the money to charity.  His coworkers go through this stuff FAST!!

We also stopped to get some more ice cream and yes!! this was for us.  I don't know if i mentioned what my favorite flavor right now is.  But it is Raspberry Chocolate Chip.  This stuff is GOOD.  I have a scoop of that and then one of regular chocolate and the two flavors combined are SUPER DELICIOUS.   I'll be having some of that later on tonight.

I think i'll go and read for a while now.
Hope your Tuesday was a good one.
A smile from me to you.

Trees down

I skipped my walk yesterday morning because Irene was still around with her winds and rain and even though by afternoon the sun was shinning i never got out to walk.  Where i live we got lots of rain and wind but that's about it.  LOTS of people are without power because of all the trees that came down and took wires with them.  We never lost power here, but the old house did and is still without power.
Beautiful walking weather this morning.  Temperature was 61 degrees and the sun was shining.  The path i walk on getting to the lake was littered with branches, leaves and i had to climb over or under about a half dozen trees on my way to the lake.

I walked around a pretty quiet lake.  Only passed by a few people.  I stopped and talked to a couple of my walker friends.
I only saw a bunny and some geese and didn't even hear or see that many birds.
I just stayed to the lower path around the lake but i didn't walk straight home.  Went down the road to another path because I wanted to see how things looked out that way.  Didn't come across any fallen trees but just lots of leaves on the path.  You can see a picture of a leave covered footbridge i walked over on my picture blog if you care to take a look.  I just walked a little way down the path and then turned around and made my way back home.
Today i walked 6.7 miles.

I already have a couple of loads of laundry washed and drying outside on the line and when I get finished with this post, i plan to get some house work done.  Hopefully i'll fit some time for in for reading, knitting, making weave-its, and visiting blogs.  But before that, i'm going to have some breakfast.  It's is already after 10:00, i've been up since 6:00 and still haven't eaten breakfast.

A happy day to you all.

There isn't a title today

Warm and muggy this morning with a slight breeze when i went for my walk.  The temperature was a warm 76 degrees.  It was cloudy and it wasn't long before it started raining too.  The rain only lasted for about a mile or so and it actually felt nice and cool so i didn't bother coming home early.  I got hot again once the rain stopped.
No regular route, just walked wherever.  A few people were walking along the sidewalks but didn't see anyone at all along the paths I walked.  I spotted three deer though.  A mom with two little ones and then a little one on its own on another path.
Last week when i walked past the elementary school workers were putting together some playground equipment and parts were scattered all over the place.  I passed by there again today and it is all put together now just waiting for Monday when school starts.  The kids should have fun playing on that colorful thing!! : )
Enjoyed my walk as usual and today I walked 6 miles.
Sunrise 6:31
Sunset 7:46
************************************************
This morning while I was walking Ken left to go over to the old house and to make sure nothing was in the yard or on the porch that could get blown away when Irene comes along later today and into tonight.  I think around where i live we will just get lots of rain and some wind.
Ken will probably be home again by lunch time and then we will go out and do a few errands.
Then it will be home for the rest of the day.
I plan to get started on that stack of books i brought home from the library yesterday.

Enjoy your Saturday.
I pray that all of you who have to deal with Irene stay safe!!

Friday

It was on the warm side again this morning, but i didn't look at the thermometer so don't know what the temperature was.  As you can tell from the picture it was a foggy morning.  The sun did come out later and chase the fog away and it ended up being a nice sunny day.
The foggy picture is taken coming out of the path leading to the school.  I only saw a couple of other people out walking.
A baby deer and mom were along the path.  I didn't walk on any particular route because i had to walk time today instead of miles.  Had to be back home at 7:45 because we had to leave for our dentist appointments.  I'm glad i got a walk in though.
I was almost home and coming up to the cross walk and saw an older lady Harriet who I know from church waiting to cross the street.  She was on her way to the Giant.  She said she didn't recognize me at first because I wasn't in my church clothes. : )  I walked with her across the street and we talked for a bit before going home.
I walked 4.8 miles.
Sunrise 6:30
Sunset 7:48
*******************************************
Ken took the day off so i made us pancakes for breakfast and then we headed off to the dentist.  Dr Arnouk was happy to get the chocolate chip cookies and he did share them with the others who work there.  My appointment was first at 9:30 and Ken right after me.  I am happy to say, no cavities or any other problems with my teeth and they are nice and clean and polished and i'm set for another six months.  Such a great feeling to have that out of the way.  Ken was not quite so lucky as me.  Not a big deal but he has to go back next week and have a filling replaced.

We stopped in at the RV dealer just for fun and were thinking how nice it would be to have another RV for our drive out to Denver.  We DID NOT buy one but if we did this would have been the one.  Wouldn't it be cool to travel across the country in this?!!!

From that bit of fantasy we headed out to Olive Garden for a late lunch of soup, salad, and bread sticks.

Next stop was the library.  I tried very hard to just pick up the one book that had been on hold and ready for me to pick up, but ended up getting this stack.
It was a nice Friday in spite of having to go to the dentist. : )
Hope you enjoyed your day as well.
A smile from me to you.

A couple of visitors

So ends the nice cool morning streak.  The heat has returned with a temperature of 71 degrees and the humidity is back as well.  There was a breeze so it really wasn't all that bad.  I walked around the lake again.  Less people than usual, maybe because it looked and felt like rain was on its way, though i made it home before the rain started.
It seems the geese are slowly returning.  More of them there today again.  I only saw one deer and it was a baby on its own.  I wondered where its mom had got to.
I walked around the lake and went up to the upper path like usual but then took this path
which goes back down to the lake.  The path comes out just a little farther along the lake from where i left the lake path in the first place.
A lake view
The intersection right down the street from my house that they have been working on now has lines and arrows drawn on the road.  Now they just have to paint the lines and take away the cones and it will be ready for cars. A crosswalk with lights will also be there, though i won't be using it.  I find it safer to go up the road farther and cross away from the cars.
Since i walked a little bit longer by the lake today i didn't bother walking extra around the block but just headed straight home.
I sat out on my front stoop for a few minutes and took my shoes off and cooled off a bit before going inside.  Snapped this picture while sitting there.
I walked 6.6 miles
Sunrise 6:29
Sunset 7:49
********************************************
We've had a mixture of rain and sun and clouds today.  During a sunny time i walked across the street to the Giant and picked up a couple of things i needed for supper tonight.  I'm making tacos and needed sour cream and lettuce.  The grapes caught my eye and i got some of them too.  As most of you know i go to the commissary for my grocery shopping but if i just need a couple of items i just go close to home here.

Another six months has come and gone and once again tomorrow it is time to take that dreaded trip to the dentist for a cleaning.  I don't like to go but i don't really mind either because of my great dentist.  I usually take him some of my chocolate chip cookies so i made a batch today.  I was super good and didn't even eat one of them!!!  I made them just before lunch so even though i was hungry i knew i would be eating soon and that helped me not to eat a cookie.
It's been a while since i've made cookies and this was the first time i used my new cookie sheets.  I think one of the secrets of making good chewy cookies that don't brown too much is these cookies sheets.  That layer of air between layers works well.

Today a hummingbird paid a visit to the flowers growing in the pot out on the deck.  I don't have a feeder so was pleasantly surprised to see him there.  He was too fast to get a picture though.
Another visitor today was the praying mantis again.  I wonder if it is the same one.  This time it was on the back door.  I took this picture of him right through the glass.  See how good that Perfect Glass cleaner works!!!  : )

Hope your Thursday is a good one.

More great weather

Another morning like yesterday with cool temperatures in the 50's and sunshine.  I made my way over to the lake and had a delightful walk around the lake.  There was a mist over the water when I first got there but was gone soon after.  A couple pictures of the mist.

The usual number of people were out and about around the lake enjoying a beautiful morning.  Some more geese arrived but they stayed up the hill on the grass.  In a way it's kind of nice not to have so many geese about so you don't have to watch where you step!!
I took the upper path like i usually do but stayed up on the road instead of walking back down to the path by the water.  Just breaking up the routine a bit.
My foot is still a bit black and blue and so are two of my toes. I must have really come down hard on that plug!!  Nothing hurts at all though so I'm not complaining.
It was another great walk.
I walked 6.3 miles.
Sunrise 6:28
Sunset 7:51
*******************************************
I was planning on going out with my friend MaryJo today but she couldn't make it, so we will meet up next week instead.
I ended up staying home and cleaning windows.  I used the new Perfect Glass cleaner and i actually liked cleaning the windows!!  I know that sounds crazy but this makes window cleaning so much faster and the results are fantastic.  Just spray and wipe and it really doesn't leave any streaks at all.  I know i sound like a commercial but it is really that good. I use a paper towel after i spray the stuff on the window and then i dry it with the cloth i use to dry my car.
I cleaned six windows and will do some more another day.

I  got some of the high places dusted that don't get dusted all that often.  Like on top of the kitchen cabinets and the ceiling fans.

I came across this website for improving your brain and have been having some fun with it.  I'm just using the free part of it now.  They will probably get me hooked and i'll end up joining.  Anyway check it out HERE if you feel like improving your brain. : )

I'm done with work for the day and now it's time for a little reading and knitting.  I'm really looking forward to getting that white bedspread done.  I think i'll be able to get in done in a few days but in reality it will probably take me a couple of weeks.

That's it for now.
Till next time........

A beautiful sunny day

Wow, the weather this morning was ideal.  The temperature was only 52 degrees and there was lots of sunshine.  I wore tights under my shorts, put on a long sleeve sweatshirt and headed out into the beautiful morning.  My sweatshirt has pockets in it so i put my camera in one and my phone in the other and walked hands free.

Yesterday while i was cleaning i had the cord laying out from the vacuum and i stepped on the plug and bruised the ball of my foot and it hurt to walk on it.  The ball of my foot has turned black and blue, but it felt a lot better this morning.  I started walking close to home in case it hurt i could always come back home.  It didn't really bother me all that much so after walking around the block i walked farther from home.  I walked along a few paths, along sidewalks and over to the school.
Not many people out.  I saw only one person running and a lady walking a dog.
Spotted lots of deer though - 11 of them!!  Here's a picture of three of them walking among the houses.
I haven't been finding many coins this month but today was a good coin day.  I found three quarters and a nickel!
I'm happy my foot didn't bother me enough to keep me from walking 6.2 miles.
Sunrise 6:27
Sunset 7:52

After spending yesterday cleaning it was nice to get out to meet my knitting friends and what perfect weather for sitting outside knitting and talking.  Deb, who is a very talented knitter wore a finished project of hers today and let me take a picture of her.  What a beautiful sweater she has knitted.  We all helped her pick out the color.
Here is a close up of the sleeve.
The sky was a beautiful blue and i looked up and took this picture.
I knitted on another white square.
I looked down and took this picture.
I enjoyed my knitting time and has usual these few hours seemed to fly by and it was time to leave and come home.

I was in the living room this afternoon when the house began to shake and I heard the dishes rattling around for about 30 seconds.  We had just had an earthquake.  I went outside and stood around with a few neighbors and talked for a while before coming back inside.  They all seemed to be concerned but i didn't think it was that big a deal.  I'm sure i'll hear more about it on the news later.  Earthquakes aren't something that we normally get around here.

I have a little bit of dusting that I still have to finish and then I'll probably go and sit out on the deck and do something out there.

A happy Tuesday to you.
A smile from me to you.

Perfect Glass

Ah one of those delightful mornings for walking.  Temperature was 68, low humidity, and the sun was shining in a bright blue sky with a cool breeze at times.  So nice for walking around the lake.  Quite a few people out for a Monday morning and there were even four people playing tennis at the tennis courts where i came into the park.
There were geese by the lake again.  Who knows if they are some of the same ones from before or these are a different bunch.  There were so many and now there are just a few.
I see a women most days walking around the lake and even on hot days she always wears long cotton pants and a long sleeve shirt,  a face mask over her nose and mouth, cotton gloves and a huge hat. I've said good morning to her numerous times but she never answers back so i've stopped.   I'm curious about her though and wonder what her reasons are for wearing what she does.
A very pleasant walk today and i went 6.2 miles.
Sunrise 6:27

I have completed knitting the last two of the Bobble Squares for the white bedspread.  A good name for this stitch don't you think.
Here's a closer look.
This project is the one and only time i've ever made this stitch.  I learned how to make this stitch on my own by reading and rereading the directions, and after 20 minutes finally figured it out.
When you come to this stitch in the pattern it reads like this, MB, which stands for Make Bobble.  In the back of the book it explains how to do this.

Knit into front, back, front, back, front of the next stitch.
Turn work, and purl the 5 stitches.
Turn work, and knit the 5 stitches.
Slip the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th stitches
off over the 1st stitch.

Sounds complicated at first but taking one step at a time it is really not so hard.  In fact now i find them fun to do. : )  With these two squares now done i only have 7 more to do!!!!

Reading a blog i learned of a glass cleaner that was supposed to work super good called Perfect Glass.  I usually use a homemade solution but decided to give Perfect Glass a try.  I bought some at Lowes the other day and today i tried it.   I think this stuff is terrific and is as good as it claims to be and I will be using it from now on.  I have never heard of this before now have you?
If you click on the picture you should be able to read the small print on the label.

That said i guess you've guessed that i'm home today cleaning.
It's just a little after 1:00 now and I'm taking a bit of a break now and ready to have some lunch.  Don't know how much more work I'll get done today.  I'm feeling more like knitting now than cleaning!! : )

Hope your Monday is a good one and a great start to the new week.
A happy Monday to  you.

A day in Baltimore

I didn't walk on any particular route this morning and it was a shorter than usual walk. I just walked along a few roads on the sidewalks and around some parking lots.  A few others were out walking and a few bike riders as well.
I saw a couple of deer just up the road from when i took this picture.  It was pretty quiet out today.
I only walked 4.3 miles because i had to be home by 8:00 and I got up a bit later than normal.
Sunrise 6:25
Sunset 7:56
*************************************
I had to be home early because we wanted to leave right after breakfast to go into Baltimore to the Inner Harbor.  In a couple of weeks the The Baltimore Grand Prix Race is being held in the streets of the city and we have tickets for it.  They have been getting ready for this  for quite some time and we wanted to see where the bleachers are where we will be sitting so we made a day of going there to check things out.
We took the light rail train in and got off at the Camden Yard station and then walked to and around the Inner Harbor.
Here a few young kids stay cool playing in the water.
We walked all the way to Fells Point from there and had lunch in a little tavern called Kooper's Tavern where we had the best ever burgers.
This is a cobbled stone street we walked down.
We decided to take the water taxi back across the water instead of walking all the way back again.  Something different to do.
A picture I took while on the boat.
In this picture people are in paddle boats in the shape of dragons.
I also took this lighthouse picture while on the boat,
which we were up on earlier in the day.
Here Ken looks out over the water.
After getting off the boat we walked back to the train station and came on home.  The weather was perfect for walking around and our day was most enjoyable.
We are looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks to watch the race.
I wore my pedometer while we walked around today and walked an additional 4.8 miles.
My two walks today totaled 9.1 miles.

After getting off the train and before coming home we made a stop at Rita's and rounded the day off with a Gelati.

I'm now ready to sit down in the living room and relax and watch a little television.  We have a couple of Netflix to watch.  Dexter and Doc Martin.

I hope all is well in your part of the world and you had an enjoyable day too.
A smile from me to you.

A walk, last nights dinner and squares

A little bit warmer this morning and a bit humid after all the rain from last night, but still not too bad.  The sky was blue, the sun was out and every so often a breeze would come along. i walked along streets, on paths, and in parking lots with no particular route in mind.
i like this yard i walked by and the little bridge there in the trees.
i walked passed the pool again and noticed that the fence is now finished.  i guess that fence is good enough for around here AuntieA.
i encountered a few people out walking along my way and everyone was friendly and said good morning back to me. : )  i came across a few deer, rabbits, and a fox.

i walked 6.4 miles which was 13,219 steps.
Sunrise 6:24
Sunset 7:58
**********************************************
Last night dinner at Baldwin Station was a wonderful evening out.  Even though it was raining out we decided to eat outside and it ended up being even nicer than i imagined it would be.  We had a perfect view of the railroad tracks and a stream that runs through town.
There was a gentle rain falling and it was quite pleasant listening to the rain as we talked and ate.  The food was delicious and as always in a good restaurant the presentation of it was a work of art.  i didn't take any pictures of the food but if you check out the above link you can get an idea of what i mean.  What i also liked was that we didn't feel rushed and there was plenty of time to enjoy everything.  We even got lucky and had a train come through : )
There were a few other couples who enjoyed eating outside but most people stayed inside where it was packed.
A very nice evening and i'm so glad we decided on this restaurant.  We have been here a half dozen times and have never been disappointed.
*******************************************
Here's the next batch of weave-it squares i've made.  There's 16 more big squares  here, each made up of 4 weave-it squares sewn together.
i now have 40 done with 32 more to go for a total of 72.
If you count up the individual weave-it squares i have made 160 with 128 more to go.
It's coming along pretty good and I'm hoping to be finished by October.

It's been an at home day so far for me and i've enjoyed puttering around the house. Since it's Friday, when Ken comes home we will probably go out somewhere.

Hope this day was a good one for you.

This and that

A nice morning for walking.  Temperature a little warm at 70 degrees, but there was a bit of a breeze at times with clouds and a little sun.  i headed out toward the lake and walked around it.  i walked along the road up in the park and stopped to take this picture.  The path you see down below is where i'm usually walking. i was standing in a parking lot to take the picture.
The usual amount of people around but i didn't see anyone fishing or any boats on the water.  Not many geese either but i did see a few of them leaving.  i wonder where they all have gone.  Down by the water where weeds and flowers are growing among the rock were a few Gold Finches eating the seeds.  One of these days maybe i'll be able to get a picture of them!
Pretty quiet out there this morning but it sure was good to be out there walking.

I walked 6.3 miles.
12,934 steps.

Next i went to Michaels.  Took a picture of the store and my car just because i like looking at my car.  When I park it after all these years I still look back at it and just can't believe it is mine!!
i bought some more white yarn for the afghan/bedspread.  i got the one pound skein which is more than i need to finish it but i can also use it to make weave-it squares.  The two other colors of yarn are also for the weave-its.
i saw this little Footprint counted cross stitch kit and thought it would be nice to make it for my Secret Sister so i bought that too.
i got back home in time for lunch and this afternoon i got some computer work done.  Then did fun stuff on the computer.  i also got a couple of chores done.

Out on the deck i noticed a Praying Mantis sitting there on the bench and took a bunch of pictures.  These two turned out the best.

A while back Ken got a spot award at work and it came with a gift card for eating out at any number of restaurants around here.  Tonight we are going to use it and go to Baldwin Station, a favorite place of ours that we go for special occasions.  Celebrating a job well done seems like a special enough occasion!  Our reservations are for 6:30.  If the weather stays nice we will eat outside.

Hope all is well in your part of the world and that you made the most of your day.
Happy thoughts i send your way.

The following quote reminds me of a note my son David wrote me when he was a little guy.  He had been sent to his room for something and while there wrote me this.
Dear Mom,
I hate you!!
Love, David
If you have never been hated by your child
you have never been a parent.

Bookmarks

Temperature was a comfortable 63 degrees as I started my walk this morning.  No special route today.  I started by walking over to see how the pool was coming along.  Wanted to get there early before anyone started working.
This is as close as I could get to the pool without stepping over the string marking where the fence is to go.  I didn't want to walk in their yard. There is already water in the pool and looks like people have already been sitting out there!
A fence has started being put up.
From there I just walked around on the sidewalks along the streets.  A giant sunflower towers over some pretty flowers below.  There were a couple of gold finches around but I couldn't get a picture of them.
A deer stands still in a front yard looking like it is a statue.  As I approached closer it took off running across the street.
As I was walking down the road a woman who I don't know says to me, "Hi, how is your son doing?"  I looked at her and said my son is just fine, but I think you have mistaken me for someone else.  She asked if I had a son in fourth grade.  Told her no and then she said I looked just like someone else.  I thought to myself, how nice that she thinks I'm young enough to have a son in the fourth grade! : )

I then made my way over to the school and picked up a path there,  walked along the road for a while and got on another path where I saw my walking friends Petey and John (the 89 year olds).  Stopped for a little chat with them and then continued on home.

I found three lucky pennies.
I walked 6.5 miles.
13404 steps and I left the house at 6:30 and was back home at 8:15.

I found out what kind of bug that was yesterday that I took a picture of.   I had two opinions in the comments and Anita said it was an Assassin Bug which I believe it to be after looking it up HERE.  Thanks Anita. : )

I have been collecting bookmarks for quite a few years and have quite a lot of them.  I keep them all in a tin but I think I'm going to figure out some better way to keep them.  Maybe all in a photo album so they can be organized and I'll be able see them better.
Here is just a sample of some of my collection.
I have four bookmarks that my kids made for me when they were little. : )
And this is the latest addition to my collection.  It came as a surprise in the mail one day a few weeks ago from a special blogger friend of mine Kim.  She was on vacation when she spotted this and she said it made her think of me.  She knew I liked ladybugs but I don't think she had any idea that I collect bookmarks. Thanks again Kim! : )

I'm enjoying my day at home doing a bit of this and that.  A very nice day out and I'll be spending some time out on the deck in a little while.

The first disc of Season 5 of Dexter came in the mail from Netlix so we will be watching that this evening.

Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying your day whatever you may be doing.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone : )

worry that they are always watching you.
