Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My Connect a Path walking route

A while ago I posted my walk Around the Lake route in pictures.
Today I'm posting my Connect the Path route in pictures.
I walked this route yesterday and took all the pictures.
Today I walked the same route but in the other direction.
Come along with me now on my walk.
One
This is the start of the first path and
it is just under one mile from my house.
Two
When I get to the end of path up ahead I cross the street
and walk a block.
Three
I turn left here and walk a couple of blocks.
Four
Then turn down this path and walk until
Five
I come out here in back of a school.
Six
Behind the baseball field
Seven
I pick up a path and walk down here.
Eight
Past this little playground keeping to the right.
Nine
I walk along to the end of this path
Ten
and walk along the road for a few blocks.
I cross the street here and start down another path.
Eleven
When I get to the T, I turn right
Twelve
and it comes out here.
I cross the street and start down another path.
Thirteen
I continue along
Fourteen
and keep to the left.
Fifteen
As I come along the path here I stay to the right
Sixteen
and walk up here.
It takes me to a road and I walk to the top of a little hill,
turn left and walk a couple of blocks
Seventeen
and start down the path here.
This is 3 miles from home and the half way point.
Eighteen
At this point I've walked in a 1/2 mile circle
from from picture 15 to here.
I came up from the left and now I take the path to the right
Nineteen
and walk along through the woods,
cross over a few foot bridges
and turn left here in the middle of this one.

Twenty
That path ends here and I cross another street.
Twenty One
Walk along this path staying to the left.
Twenty Two
Cross the street in the crosswalk
(the one that hardly anyone ever stops at)
which takes me to the pool.
Twenty Three
I pick up the path on the other side of the pool,
Twenty Four
and walk along there until I come to this T
which is in the middle of the first path I started on.
I turn right
Twenty Five
and at the end of the path here I turn left.
Twenty Six
I'm nearing the end of my walk now.
I walk along this road,
make a left up ahead,
then a right which takes me back home.
That ends my 6 mile Connect the Path route.

Hope you enjoyed the walk with me.
Happyone :-)

If only I burned the calories with you!

I just read your last 8 posts. Boy was I behind. It's hard to keep up with friends while on vacation. Everyone is in bed now and I have the computer to myself. Too bad it's almost midnight. I miss you. I'll see you when I'm back home.

A fun walk, as always. You have great paths to walk on locally. I wish that every road project included mandatory bike and walking paths be included.
