I'm at the start of the lake here and take the path to the right.
This is at the big end of the lake.
As I walk over this bridge I have walked
half way around the lake
and I am 3 miles from home.
It is the small end of the lake.
The path to the left continues on around the lake
but I take the right path which brings you
away from the lake for a bit.
It is 2 1/2 miles around the lake
but if you take this little off shoot path
it is an additional 1/2 mile.
Here the path joins in with the path
around the lake again and
I will turn right at the bottom of this hill.
It doesn't look like much of a hill in the picture
but it is a hill.
This is near the main entrance to the park.
You can rent row boats or paddle boats and go out on the lake.
I've walked around the whole lake now
and this is where I came in.
I head towards home
and keep straight on the path.
I'm back home now and have walked
a total of 6 miles.
Now I'm ready for my breakfast.
I hope you enjoyed walking with me this morning.
Now don't you feel like getting out today and going for a nice walk!? :-)
Enjoy this happy day.
Happyone :-)

Thanks for sharing your walking route. I've often wondered how it looked.
I guess what amazes me the most is how much of it is wooded and do you ever fear for your safety? Or, do you have a walking partner?
No I feel very safe. I come across other walkers and the park people are about too. I don't walk with anyone - I prefer to walk alone, though I do walk along with different people I meet along the way for a short while sometimes.
This is just one of my many routes that I walk. Another time I'll post pictures of my Connect a Path route. Some times I don't walk on a route that I have mapped out for myself and just walk where ever I feel like it.
Oh I can't help but feel jealous, there is nothing that beautiful around here. I am smack in the city. I mean we have green belts but nothing so woodsy unless I drive there first. Pout.
Somedays I miss my Rockwood Park so much. life is so sweet now I guess you just can't have everything. Thank you for sharing it was lovely...:0)
Thank you so much for sharing your walk with me. I also wondered what your walk looked like as your photos show beautiful bits and pieces before. I to live in the city and dont have anything so beautiful. I do dream of moving up north to Fortuna, CA. Where I will be able t walk the redwoods everyday. I do have a small nature park near me but nothing this pretty. Thank you so much for sharing it. May God bless you with HIS beauty each morning you walk.
Thanks for taking me on your walk today. I noticed by the time you had finished, it had cleared!
This was a great idea. It was almost like doing the actual walk with you :))
Thanks for taking me on your walk. I wish I could walk every morning, but I have to leave for work by 8 am and just don't have time. I am able to get some walk time in at night now that it stays light until 8:30.
Well, now I see why you enjoy your walks so much. That was a beautiful route you take. Do you think I burned any calories tagging along with you :-) If it ever quits raining here I think I will enjoy a walk around my neighborhood.
A very pleasant walk, thankyou.
I enjoyed our walk, HappyOne - thanks for taking me along! :)
I have been meaning to say, I love your statement: "There is happiness in every day, sometimes we just have to look for it." That is so true. When I was on chemo, I resolved that everyday, no matter how sick I might feel, I would find at least one thing that I would enjoy. Maybe it would be a flower, or a bird, or a ray of sunshine, or a beautiful piece of music, or a smile from a friend. Most days, I could find many such things sandwiched between the times of feeling ill.
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Art
Still can't believe you do all that before breakfast.
Oh, I did enjoy the walk. You live in a very pretty place!
