Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

I had a nice walk

around the lake in sunshine this morning. Even the wildlife were out enjoying the sun. This bunny sat still so I could take his picture. He was right next to the path. The family of geese were out this morning. There are 4 babies in the picture and a fifth one has wandered off a bit. I notice that there is always one that goes off on his own. There's one in every family. :-) Mom and Dad were keeping a good watch on them though and when I got a bit too close gave me a hiss to warn me off. Kathy - This little path is off the path just as I get to the lake. At the end of it is 108 and your street is directly across the street. I had no excuse to today so I took off after breakfast to the old house. Spent a few hours there mowing the lawn and weeding. I used to love doing the yard work but I just can't get into it now. I've put that house behind me and it's just a chore I have to do. We both are just so bad about getting motivated to finish up there and get that house for sale. When I got back home I ate a late lunch, did my exercise CD, (I sure got a lot of exercise today) and did some computer work. I knitted and listened to more of the video book. The Longaberger Magazine Basket I ordered came in the mail today. I'm always happy to get a basket. :-)No Netflix so we watched another episode of Seinfeld. My favorite character on that show is Elaine. I love her expressions. Ice cream again for my snack and knitted some more on the ripple afghan. So ends another day. Hope yours was a sunny kind of day. Happyone :-)

Beautiful basket for your magazines. Glad that you walked in the sunshine today and that you got that lawn mowed. I was noticing that our lawn also needs mowing.

You get the most intriguing pictures of wildlife. They must become very used to people. Yes, there is one in every family.

Those baby geese seem to be growing quickly. They sure are cute. I like your bunny, too.

Pretty basket. Just right for several uses.

I don't envy your mowing and weeding. But your chores bring to mind that I need to get out and spray the foundation of our house with bug spray. I think we're built on a huge spider nest and ant hill! :(

Hope you have a sunny and fun weekend.

Sounds like a wonderful day!

Isn't it so cool with geese that one is always on the alert while the other one grazes? Have a great weekend.

What a nice path that is across the the street from us!
I'm declaring war on ALL bunnies as of this morning when I went out to look at my roses, columbine, and hosta. I've sprayed, but it's too late to prevent all the damage they've already done. Where are the fox when I need them!!!
