Day 21
RED
This was an easy choice for me.
My Red Corvette
C5 2002 6 speed
I had the joy of driving my dream car around for 16 years.
Bought it new in 2002 and sold it when we moved into our house
here in the woods in 2018.
I still miss it at times.

A cloudy sky this morning when I walked.
68 degrees with a little breeze.
It was my usual walk around both the cemeteries, the ball park,
and around town up and down the side streets.
Rain was predicted but it never did rain.
(We had quite a downpour later in the afternoon)
Quiet around town and didn't see anyone else out walking.
This morning noticed the tassels on the corn.
Black Eyed Susans - Maryland's state flower.

Food shopping day and this week we went down to the
Walmart in LaVale.
Before coming home stopped at the library to drop off a book.
By the time we got home it was lunch time.
Continued doing a little more house work this afternoon.
Then read and knitted as I do most days.

Ginny - My FiestaWare is all old. I collect the 6 original colors. Red, Cobalt, Yellow, Green, Ivory, and turquoise.
Mari - Anna isn't a little girl. She has some kind of learning disability so seems like a little girl. She is a lovely young lady and is always smiling. I would guess that she is in her 20's.

I am impressed that you had a red Corvette!! I know what you mean about missing it. I had a turquoise Mustang and sold it when we had our baby. I still miss it to this day!

The corvette is a beauty and I bet it was fun to drive.
We just noticed that the corn around here is starting to tassel too. I love black eyed susans.
I get that, too about missing a favorite vehicle. Mine was a 1971 VW camper van. I had it for 20+ years and two engines till it finally gave up the ghost in A big way - engine blew on the freeway! Caught the interior on fire and my son barely escaped. He couldn't get those old seat belts off.
It sat in driveway for a couple of weeks before I had it towed to the salvage place. The end of an era, for sure.

i think everyone should have the opportunity to own and drive their dream car. it's a beautiful car...i am glad your dream came true!! my black-eyed susans are in bloom right now too, they are so beautiful, everyone should have a bit of yellow in their garden!!

Hi Karen - I remember way back in the early days of blogging when I found your blog. Your red Corvette always impressed me. I can’t recall if I ever told you … I also had a Corvette for a while. Mine was silver and I purchased it in 1973 and sold it 1976. I loved that car, and, like you said in the post, I still miss it at times. The July photo-a-day challenge is neat. I remember that red car...it wasn't very long ago that Melanie commented again about how special it was of you to offer her a ride in it the day we all met at Whispering Pines. :) xx
