On my way to town this morning I saw 5 deer.
It was 39 degrees this morning for walking with a mix of sun and clouds.
Walking past the pond on my way to the cemetery on the hill
I noticed another family of geese.
Just 2 babies for them.
Last year there were two families who ended up hanging around
together and it was like one big family.
Wondering if these are the same parents as last year.
I like how the sun on the grass makes it look golden.
Continued out to the main road and walked towards home a ways
before turning around and going back to town.
On the way back I made a detour up and down Sale Barn Road.
Then it was through town to the ball park around there
and back to the pond and Jeep.
Another quiet morning around town and didn't see any one else out.
There are always the people in cars and trucks waving or giving
me a toot as they pass me.
It was a delightful morning for walking. 😊
🌤 🌸 🌼 😊
After breakfast we made a trip out to Lowe's.
Ken has come up with an idea for a contraption for a bird feeder pole which
we hope will keep those pesky chipmunks from eating all the seed.
We've already trapped 6 chipmunks and there are MORE.
The trip to Lowe's was to buy poles and hardware.
Hard to explain his idea so I'll just take a picture when it's done.
He worked on it this afternoon.
A nice sunny day but just a tad too windy and cool
to sit out on the porch and read so did that inside.
We went out for supper and enjoyed our fish and chips.
Yummy!
Hope you had a wonderful day and
Thanks for stopping by.

Not to worry about the chicken making her way back home. Once when there were a few chickens walking around outside the fence I went to the house and told the people they had chickens that escaped. They told me it happens often and the chickens come back on their own.

Dear Karen, fish and chips sounds delicious! Beautiful photos. How nice to see the Canada geese.
Beautiful photos, I like the grass with the sun shining on it. I love fish and chips, have a great weekend.
I too like how the sun on the grass makes it look golden... a lovely photograph.
All the best Jan
Your photos of the walk are beautiful. The sun on the grass in one of those photos is beautiful.
...the goose family is wonderful to see.
We don't have chippies this year. In past years we have had a lot of them. This year, however, we have a LOT of squirrels...and they will wreck the bird feeders. Love the 'gold' grass. Have a great weekend. xo Diana
I can't wait to see his chipmunk proof feeder! They are so cute! when I was a little girl, we could train them to take a peanut from our hand. The sun on the grass is gorgeous!
Hi Karen. Fish and Chips sound good. We haven't had Fish and Chips for a long time, because there are no good places for them around here. Can't wait to see pictures of Ken's idea for the bird feeder. Glad you had another nice day. See you again soon!
I love early morning walks here on the hill. It's a wonderful time of day and a wonderful time of year. Your pictures really are worth a thousand words.
That second picture is pretty and it does make it look golden. Fish and chips sounds so good. Look forward to seeing Ken's design to try and keep the chipmunks out of the feeder.
Karen, as always your photos are fantastic. I can't wait to see the anti-chipmunk contraption :) We basically gave up and call our bird feeders "squirrel feeders" now.
Beautiful pics as usual. Always love fish and chips. We had mini hamburgers with mini pretzel buns last ight and Bob grilled. Made a salad to go with. Janice
I enjoy a good cod fish and chips. Yum. We had orange chicken and sticky rice and baby bok choy. It had been awhile since I made it.
Your photos are so pretty and really shows the beauty of your area.
We had problems with rats eating the bird seed. So my husband placed to feeders on metal poles and so far so good.
The golden photo is so pretty. Looking forward to seeing the contraption Ken is creating.
One of the ways that we keep squirrels and such away from our bird feeders is by mounting them on a steel (?) pole. It's slippery and they haven't succeeded yet. It's important that the feeder not be close enough to a tree though because those cheeky squirrels will jump if they think they will make it. I'm looking forward to seeing what Ken constructs.
Fish and chips sounds wonderful!
Beautiful morning for a walk! My husband always shakes the food out of our bird feeder for the rabbits and other critters that come to feed at it!
