Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking, Lowe's, and out for fish and chips

On my way to town this morning I saw 5 deer.

It was 39 degrees this morning for walking with a mix of sun and clouds.

Walking past the pond on my way to the cemetery on the hill
I noticed another family of geese.
Just 2 babies for them.
Last year there were two families who ended up hanging around
together and it was like one big family.
Wondering if these are the same parents as last year.

Went up the hill and walked around the cemetery.
I like how the sun on the grass makes it look golden.

Continued out to the main road and walked towards home a ways
before turning around and going back to town.
On the way back I made a detour up and down Sale Barn Road.

Then it was through town to the ball park around there
and back to the pond and Jeep.

Another quiet morning around town and didn't see any one else out.
There are always the people in cars and trucks waving or giving
me a toot as they pass me.

It was a delightful morning for walking. 😊

🌤    🌸    🌼    😊

After breakfast we made a trip out to Lowe's.
Ken has come up with an idea for a contraption for a bird feeder pole which
we hope will keep those pesky chipmunks from eating all the seed.
We've already trapped 6 chipmunks and there are MORE.
The trip to Lowe's was to buy poles and hardware.
Hard to explain his idea so I'll just take a picture when it's done.
He worked on it this afternoon.

A nice sunny day but just a tad too windy and cool
to sit out on the porch and read so did that inside.

We went out for supper and enjoyed our fish and chips.
Yummy!

Hope you had a wonderful day and
Thanks for stopping by.
HappyK😊

Not to worry about the chicken making her way back home. Once when there were a few chickens walking around outside the fence I went to the house and told the people they had chickens that escaped.  They told me it happens often and the chickens come back on their own.
