Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A farm loop walk and Ken's bird feeder pole

A nice sunny morning for walking around the farm loop.
It was 42 degrees.
Started out sunny but ended up with more clouds than sun.

New yellow lines down the middle of the road.

Not many roads where you can walk down the middle of the road
for 2 miles and not have a car come by!

Took this picture up at the school.
You can see the church in town.
The long barn where I see the cows is way to the right.

When I got back to town the pond had a fishing event going on.

Saw Rebecca out walking around town when I got back.

A good morning for finding coins.
quarter
dime
2 pennies

😊    ☀️    ⛅️    🥾

Stitching day at the library with the ladies.
5 of us there.
I started knitting the second pink slipper.

After lunch I made Potato Salad which we are having with
hamburgers for supper.

Also made a Rhubarb Cobbler.
I'll have that for my snack later.

Here's Ken bird feeder to keep out the chipmunks.
A pole with a cross pole to hand the feeders and
a piece of square metal that the chipmunks can't get around.
So far it's working.
Did you know that chipmunks can jump 2 feet up and
3 feet across.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope you had a wonderful day.

Hey whatever works! Lol
Rats can jump that high too. I stood at my kitchen window and couldn't believe my eyes as we've not ever had them before. They will jump and then hold themselves on the side of a metal dollar tree cookie sheet. Well that had to go. No sides that they can hold on to. So far it's been a year. We don't have chipmunk or squirrels to contend with. My husband is always looking for better ways to improve upon.

The bird feeder is genius! Also in the fourth photo, I love the shadows on the ground
