Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Dusting

Winter is not quite over yet as today reminded us.
Walking this morning the temperature was 31 degrees, it was windy, and snowing.

Walked up and down the main road and side streets in town.
Around the ball park loop twice and up and down some more side streets.

Continued on over to the lower cemetery and around there a couple of times.
By 7:30 the snow had stopped and we were left with just a dusting.

Not much happening around early this morning and no one else was out walking.

🌨️    😊    🥾   ☃️

Did a load of laundry and I was back to hanging the clothes on the drying rack.
Did the basic ever day house chores and then I just took it easy for the day.

Ended up not going to the book club.
My shore throat is gone and my cold is now in my chest and I'm coughing.
I drank numerous cups of tea which was nice and soothing.
Ended up falling asleep again and taking a nap as I was reading.
Must need the extra sleep.
Ken's sore throat turned into a head cold.

The sun came out this afternoon and it was very windy and the dusting of snow is gone.

That's going to be all for this Thursday.
Hope you had a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
HappyK 🙂

Debby - I go to bed between 11:00 and 11:30.  I usually wake up at 6:00 and the first thing I do is go walking.  Taking the nap didn't change my sleep.  I think I just needed the extra sleep.

You actually had more snow than we did today...we didn't even get a dusting as our grass was barely covered and it was only in spots.

I'm sorry that your cold has gone to your chest and producing a cough. And that Ken's has turned into a head cold. I am glad that you are resting some, When I am sick, or not feeling my best, I will often doze off while sitting up,

Dear Karen, I hope you feel better soon 💕 ❤️
Lovely photos. Here in Montreal yesterday we got freezing rain and the tree branches are buckling under the weight of the ice. Many trees have lost some branches and thousands in Quebec lost power.
Stay warm and safe 🙏

I guess Ken's cold will follow yours, going to his chest. We do need extra sleep when we are sick, in sleep is when our body does most of it's healing. At least that's what I have read.
