Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

ABC Friday

A cloudy morning for walking, no wind, and 27 degrees.

 Sunrise 7:21

Had a couple of books and a DVD to drop off at the library so walked there first and put them down the drop.
Then it was up and down the main road, and side streets till it was light.

Continued over to the ball park and walked around there twice.
Workers were there at the tennis courts.
The net was down and they were doing something with cement!
Maybe going to set the posts in cement.

From there I walked up to the cemetery on the hill and around there a few times.

🙂    ☁️    🚶‍♀️

We didn't really feel like going but we went to Walmart after breakfast.
Got there early and we practically had the place to ourselves.
That done and back home we both just puttered about the house.

We both had chicken noodle soup for lunch which was nice and soothing for our colds.
We did still make pizza for supper.🍕

MY ABC'S

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Sometimes pictures, sometimes just words but it will be something about me.

Y is for Yankee Doodle Cupcakes
My parents were divorced and I would spend time with my Dad on his boat which he kept at a marina on the Hudson River in Nyack, New York.
Every time I was there he had Yankee Doodle Cupcakes there for me.
I loved those things.
They came three in a pack.
No icing but inside was a creamy filling.
Got these picture off the internet.

So that's been my Friday.
A happy Friday the 13th to you.
Thanks for coming by.
HappyK 🙂

I think I remember these cakes. I also remember some really good ones that were Dolly Madison brand. The sky is stunning!!! And it looks like the pond is on fire.
