Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Early thunderstorm

Woke up this morning to a thunderstorm storm so waited until it passed before walking.
Got to town and started walking a few minutes before 8:00.
It was 54 degrees, a bit windy, and cloudy.
The last 15 minutes of walking it rained again.

I walked around both of the cemeteries to start.
The spreading of the manure on the fields has begun.

Walked through town and over to the DG Market and went inside today.
Bought some Halls lemon honey cough drops and some honey.
Popped a Halls in my mouth, very soothing!

Next it was over to the ball park and walked that loop a couple of times.
Three men were at the tennis courts.
I think they were putting a new net up.
Will find out tomorrow.

Thought maybe I'd see others out walking since I went later but didn't see any one.

I got home about 9:30 and it seemed too late for breakfast so skipped it today.
Had a nice cup of herbal tea.

☁️     😊     🌧    🥾

We took the puzzle apart and put it away to do another year.
That's it for puzzles this season.

I finished reading the book club book, The Briar Club and it ended up being better than I thought.  Still I thought it was just okay.
There were just so many characters it was hard to keep them all straight who was who.  Also it went back and forth in time.
Curious to see the the others thought but I might not go tomorrow if my cold doesn't get better, don't want to give my cold to anyone.

I ended up falling asleep this afternoon and slept for about an hour!!
That doesn't happen often.

We aren't all that hungry so just having some grilled cheese sandwiches for supper.

The day seemed to pass very quickly.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
Hope you enjoyed your day.
HappyK 🙂

I much prefer the spreading of manure to chicken litter. At least it smells better. lol

It sounds as though you needed that afternoon nap, especially with your cold ... which I hope soon goes.

All the best Jan

What time to you go to bed at night? Will your nap throw off your night sleep?
I'm used to getting up between 5-5:30am which gives us time to pray and our devotions before getting started with our day but since the time change we're getting up later which I do not like which we're rushing through. I had to take a 45 minute nap yesterday. Since we get up so early we're in bed by 9:30 to 9:45. I'm all messed up. I don't remember this last year. My husband is adjusting fine!

We had thunderstorms all night and for much of the day. It's been cold and windy and there's lots of flooding. And now it's snowing, so I think there will be no walking outside for a bit.
Glad you got that nap, I think you needed it to help you get over that cold.

Enjoyed the walk. I think If I did puzzles I would have to seal each one and make a wall decor out of it after all the work. LOL Don't think I could take it apart. LOL Love from down here,,, (Love to see the farm country)

We had grilled cheese today. I hope your cold gets no worse. I applaud you for not being with a group if you have something contagious. I wish everyone would do this. Especially when it comes to church.

I hope your sore throat goes away quickly. I wonder if the fact that your body is fighting germs you needed the little bit of extra sleep.

Hello! As I sit here, I see the clouds rolling in. We are getting rain today, so a cozy indoor day it is! I am glad you had an afternoon nap. I am a pro at those! Grilled cheese is a perfect choice for a day with a cold. Feel better, my friend.

Glad you got a nice walk in between the showers. We had some hail in the afternoon, didn't last long.

We had some bad weather last night and lost power and blew down part of our neighborhood fence.
