It was pretty warm this morning at 37 degrees.
There was no wind and it was cloudy.
Had a nice walk around town avoiding the icy places.
Both the cemeteries were just a bit snowy and NOT slippery.
Someone had cleared the ice off the ball park loop so
I got to walk there today too.
This is the first time I've ever seen anyone clear the path.
I don't know where all the walkers are lately,
but sure glad I'm out there! 😀
Found the first coin of the year - a penny!💰
☁️ 😀 ☁️
Did a load of laundry and hung on the drying rack before
we headed out to Walmart for food shopping.
Also stopped at Walgreens and got gas before coming back home.
I've been moving some things around the living room in my head
the last few days but want to start first thing in the morning
because it's going to take most of the day to do.
Perhaps I'll do that tomorrow!
Finished reading the first book of 2026,
Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen.
I've read a few of her books now and have liked every one.
Liz sent a picture of baby Silvia wearing the little hat
that I knitted.
What a sweet baby girl. 💕
That's all I have for today.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
HappyK 💕

Debby - I think you have the wrong impression of me walking. 🙂 I don't power walk, just take a walk. I don't walk at all on ice. That is why my walk around town is haphazard, I only walk down streets without ice. If it is just snow it isn't slippery so I can walk on it. I'm afraid of falling on the ice too. 🙂

Glad you were able to get back out again today for your walk. Baby Silvia is darling. She looks so sweet in the nice hat you made her.
Oh my gosh, the baby looks adorable in the little hat! And I love the soft yellow color. I don't know how you can move heavy furniture around! I think I mentioned it once before, but can't remember what you answered.
Sweet little girl and a very sweet hat! Another day walking in town, happy for you.
What a sweet baby girl. Glad you were able to get back outside. Also, nice that someone cleared that path.
I was just telling Mr D how you save coins you find on your walks and how much you had at the end of 2025! Baby Silvia looks very comfortable wearing her new hat!
It was warmer here today too and it actually rained, but there's lots of ice around. Glad you were able to get out and walk.
The little hat is cute and perfect in yellow. Silvia is a beautiful baby!
Aww baby Silvia looks adorable in that hat :)
All the best Jan
...what a cutie, she's a keeper!
Oh my goodness look how tiny Silvia is. What a precious little bundle.
Sylvia is precious, Karen, and the hat looks great on her.
Okay, that makes me feel better. I was wondering how you could power walk on ice. Trust me, falling ( and I didn't slip on ice) doesn't feel good. I was at the dog park when a group of BIG DOGS ran into me at high speed. Really messed me up. Concussion, messed up my knee, and tore my rotator cuff. But you always take, a risk at dog parks.
Oh that baby is so precious - just perfect. It must be nice to see your knitted cap on her. She looks good in it! So does this make you a great grandma by marriage???
Such a cute baby, in the hat you made she looks so sweet and cosy. It's warmed up here too, 3C and all the snow and ice has gone.
Praying for the baby and family. God bless her.
Awwwwww....sweet little Silvia and her cute button nose. She looks *adorable*, HappyK!! Love, Andrea xoxo
