Heel feeling a lot better but still not normal so
another non walking day.
I have Heel Fat Pad Syndrome which is often misdiagnosed as Plantar Fasciitis.
Got another load of laundry done this morning.
Ken went to the Shop and Save alone today.
Ken went to the Shop and Save alone today.
Didn't want to walk any more than I have to.
Did some baking today.
First baked Chocolate Chip Cookies.๐ช
Then Philly Gift Cakes.
Made little gift plates up and going to give them
to some of the business in town where I know the people.
๐งถI'm trying again to knit the proper size mitten for Edd!! ๐
This one seems to be coming along nicely and is a good size.
Will finish it later and maybe the other one too.
If not tonight than tomorrow.
We're having Taco Salad.
That's going to be it for this post.
Thanks for visiting.

Pleased to read your heel is feeling a lot better, thank you for the link giving more details about 'Heel Fat Pad Syndrome'.
Your supper sounds tasty ... enjoy :)
All the best Jan
Dear Karen, I am very happy ๐ to hear that your heel is feeling better. Your baking sounds delicious and your knitting is looking good.
...I hope that you will feel better some. A very Merry Christmas to you.
Karen, thank you for linking the recipe for the Philly Gift cakes. I will keep it in mind for next year's gifting ideas. And also thank you for sharing the link for the devotional. I'm seriously considering ordering it. Merry Christmas to you and Ken.
Smart thinking on taking it easy until the heel feels better. I've heard of plantar fasciitis but not heel fat pad syndrome. If it's anything like the other then it's no fun
That's interesting what you have. So this isn't the first time you've had this. It sounds very similar to what I used to get - from the uneven terrain and running over a rock. Ouch! But mine healed or in this case, " heeled" Sorry couldn't resist the pun! ๐
I hope your heel pain goes away soon. I'm sure you miss running. My sister deals with pain in her heel, and it bothers her most at night, keeping her awake. I've never heard of Heel fat pad syndrome. I need to read about it. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
I'm sorry...hope you and Ken have a wonderful Christmas!
I hope you heal well and soon, too. God bless you and Ken!
I did go read up on the heel fat pad syndrome and it sounds a lot like the plantar fasciitis. No wonder it is sometimes misdiagnosed. I hope you don't have to miss too much walking. We both know how we like walking.
Your baking sounds tasty. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Karen, when your mittens are finished, please post a link to the pattern. I would like to give it a try. Thanks in advance.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for a great blog.
I have never heard of this foot disorder. But there were a lot of suggestions for making it better. Are you going to try any of them, other than resting your foot? Maybe the taping? I hope you have a great Christmas!
Your mittens look wonderful. I've knitted many myself, and I always knit them with five needles, so there's no need to sew anything together.
Happy knitting!
Merry Christmas and all the best from Viola
Thanks for the name of the devotional - the shipping was more than twice the cost of the book, so I'll pass. Merry Christmas!!!
Hello,
I hope you feel better soon! The cookies and cakes sound yummy.
I like chili too, I wish my hubby liked it.
Take care, have a great day! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
The mitten is looking mighty fine. Taco Salad sounds good. We are having subs with a cheese, meat and cracker platter...along with some mango margaritas Bob will make us. Merry Christmas Eve! Janice
Every Blessing for a very happy Christmas and hope you have a lovely day.
Wishing you lots of strength — it’s really hard when you’re forced to slow down for a while. Listening to your body is the right thing to do, even when it’s frustrating. Unfortunately there’s no quick fix for this, but with the right support it really can improve. I hope the heel cushions bring you some relief. xxxx Aritha
