Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Hurtin' Heel

Yesterday the bottom of my right heel started hurting
and got worse as I walked so had to cut my walk short.
It got to be that I could hardly put any weight on it.
Took it easy and stayed off my feet as much as possible.
Somewhat better this morning but taking a bit of a break from walking.
I hated not walking, it was a calm sunny morning too.

Did some things around the house.
Cleaned bathrooms and washed sheets.

Finished knitting one of the mittens but it turned out
way too big so will make a smaller size.

I got this book from church yesterday.
This year I'll follow this schedule for reading the Bible in a year.
It has a question for each chapter and for place for notes.
Looking forward to starting it.
It will make me stop and read more carefully.
Some days I just read the chapters for the day and don't stop
to think about them much.

Making Broccoli Cheese Soup for supper tonight.

Hope you had a great day.
Thanks for stopping by.

I'm so sorry you're having heel pain. I know how much you love to walk so I hope it resolves soon. I like the book you've chosen for your reading plan next year. This next year I'm going slower and studying one book at a time and take notes. We'll see how that goes.
Have a Merry Christmas!

The book you picked upat church for your Bible reading next year looks really good. I hope you will let us know what you think once you get started.
