Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Christmas Eve

Still no walk. 🙁
I bought some cushioned heel inserts on line and hope that will help.
They should arrive on Friday.

This morning we took the goodies I baked and delivered
them around town to the different businesses.

Then we went to the dump and got rid of our garbage.
It's been a pretty quite afternoon just puttering about the house.

So nice to have a sunny day!!!🌤

We will be leaving in a little while to go to church.
It is usually 7:00 on Wednesdays but having an early service at 5:00
because it is Christmas Eve.
Will sing songs, one of the kids will read the Christmas story
from Luke, and we will have The Lord's Supper.
Pastor will give a short message and then we all join in
a circle and light candles.
It is always a special time to remember that
Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus,

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE EVERYONE.

Praying for your heels to start feeling better soon. We will soon be leaving for our Christmas Eve service, too. Always such a special time.

That sounds really lovely. I was actually wondering — you call it Christmas Eve, but Christmas itself is the next day for us. Is that a normal thing where you are?

I really like that tradition though, especially the candle lighting and everyone standing in a circle. It sounds like a very meaningful way to mark the birth of Jesus.

Wishing you a peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve. 💕
