Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Salt lick

Another one of those misty light drizzly mornings for walking.
49 degrees with a little breeze.
Sunrise 7:27

Dropped a book off down the book drop for Ken as I passed by the library.
Walked around town and then over to the DG Market and back.
Went around the ball park a few times and the short path behind it.

Had all my steps in before I got to walk around the cemeteries.

Another quiet walk around town and didn't see anyone else out.

Passed by the doctors office and thought,
I'll be back and going there in a couple of hours.

🎃    ☁️    🍁

By mid morning the sun was shining.

Got a little more housework done and then went to the doctors.
Had my annual check-up this morning.
Happy to report all is fine.

Tomorrow I'll stop by during my walk to get some blood drawn.

Did some more knitting on the infinity scarf and now
have 18 inches done.

One of our deer stopping for a lick at the salt lick.

That's all folks.
Hope your day was a happy one
and thanks for stopping by.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Deb - No, Ken and I don't read the same books.

Ginny - The fire truck from yesterday I think is from the 60's and it is one of the trucks still used by the fire department in town.

I'm so glad your checkup went well. I am guessing that is partly because of all your walking. You have a salt lick for the deer....how cool!!

Glad you had a great checkup. I met my new GP today. He has a good sense of humour. When I moved, I needed a new GP and now he is my neighbor, his practice is right next door.

It was a pretty morning for you with that mist.
Glad your check up was good. I had mine last week and Bob has his tomorrow.
I love the the fire department is still using that truck.
PS - I started reading the Workhouse book. It's very good.
