Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

This morning for walking there was a mix of sun and clouds.
66 degrees with just a slight breeze.

Walked around both of the cemeteries to start.

Then walked through town over to the ball park.
I'm approaching the park from behind the fire house.

Continued walking back through town down to Sale Barn Road
and then back to the pond and the Jeep.

The family was running around the ball park loop again.
Ruthann was out walking her dogs.

The front porch was being worked on again.
It's not that big and I'm surprised it isn't done yet.
They've been working on it every day.
The workers are friendly and stop to talk to me each day.
Maybe they are too friendly and stop and talk to everyone who passes. 😄

🌤    🥾    🌻    🙂

Got another load of laundry done and hung out on the line.

Then spent some time in the kitchen.
Made pudding
Cucumber Salad
Chicken Salad

Got the rest of the weekly house cleaning done.

I DID finish knitting the colorful blanket yesterday.
Will have it up on my other blog tomorrow.

That's all for today.
Hope your Wednesday was a good one and
thanks for stopping by.

Bill - Yes, Ken knows that cutter quite well now.  He's fixed it so many times.  I'm learning quite a lot about it too! The cutter was made in 1962 so it's been around awhile. Our church got it January 2017.

What beautiful views on your walk! Thanks for sharing!

Maybe those guys working on the porch are being paid by the hour and their trying to spread the work out as long as they can.
Cucumber salad and chicken salad both sound good

I'm envious of your early morning temperatures, Karen. Our temps never got into the 60s. When I got up this morning it was already 73.

I've been hungry for chicken salad...now, after reading that you made some today, I am really wanting some. Maybe tomorrow for lunch. :)

Looking forward to seeing your colorful blanket tomorrow.

Hi Karen, such lovely views in your photos from your walk! I think I see your shadow in one photo. The food you made today sounds delicious! :)

I love your shadow on the large tree!! Maybe the porch is a more complex design?

Hi Karen. Glad you had another good day. You have a very friendly town. Tried to listen to your church's Wednesday night service, but I was late and only heard the last hymn. Hope you have a good Thursday. See you then!
