Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Busy Day

71 degrees, calm, and mostly cloudy for todays walk.
Sunrise - 6:14

First walked over to the library to put a book and a DVD
down the drop.

These Black Eyed Susans are by the library.

From the library I walked over to the DG Market.
Was going to turn back to town but decided to walk
around in the industrial park.

Continued walking down the road behind the DG Market.
It is between the market and the industrial park.

From there it was back to the Jeep and a drive home.

Saw Rebecca out walking.

A couple of men were working on the porch in town again.
I stopped to talk to them.
They were putting the decking down.
Trex or some product like that.
Looking really nice - much improved!!

There have been some cases of feral cats with rabies reported around town.
I haven't seen any but I carry pepper spray with me.
The only time I've used it is to check to see if it still works.
Checked it today just in case I need it.
It still works.

🌼    ☁️    🐈    🙂

Had a few things to do this morning.
First stop at Lowes to return an item.

Then off to church to fix the cutter which broke down last week
doing Fingerprints.
It took us a couple of hours but we got it fixed and working.
It wasn't a hard job but tedious and detailed.
Ken sneaked a picture of me.

Next stop Walmart for food shopping.
We have been real good about bringing our cloth reusable bags with us.
We did forget them in the truck this time though
so I had to back and get them.

Home and put everything away and had a late lunch.

Did a couple of things around the house and then we left
again to go to the library to pick up a couple DVD's.
Once back home I knitted on the thick colorful blanket.
Just 4 more rows to go and will finish it later.

Lots of rain this afternoon and a high of 80 degrees.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your day was a good one.

Deb - I don't really have a favorite Nancy Drew book but I do enjoy reading them again after all these years.  I've read the first 18 of them so far.  I have the first 52 of them.

Another beautiful cloud picture. Thank you. 😊 The Blackeyed Susan picture is so pretty. Looking forward to seeing the deck when they get it finished.

I've always liked Black eyed Susans. Good idea with the pepper spray. We could use some rain here. The grass is all turning brown.

Nice to see your photo...of you. :) I enjoy your posts, and your photos are lovely. Sad about feral cats being rabid.

I love finally seeing YOU!!! Goodness, you look so young! The pepper spray is such a good idea. Knowing me, I would immediately spray myself in the face.

Love the clouds and the sky. Ken has fixed the cutter numerous times, it must feel like an old friend. :)

Feral cats with rabies....that sounds rather scary.

I love Nancy Drew and I think I had all the books at one time. I can't remember what happened to them. That's terrible, shame on me. Watch out for the cats . . . that's kinda scary.

Hi Karen. I love that picture of you working so intently to fix the cutter. We have some black-eyed Susan flowers in our front yard. Glad you got some rain. We sure need some here. It's been a very dry summer. I hope the rest of the week goes well for you. See you again tomorrow.

Oh no on the feral kitties having rabies. Our last kitty that just passed was a feral kitten we found. Once he got use to being indoors, he did not want to go back outside. Janice

Pretty sky and I love the flowers! I hope the animal control can take care of those feral cats with rabies. Take care, have a great day!
