Happy Sunday
This is one of the hymns we sang in church this morning.
I'm thankful for all the great old hymns that we still sing.
🎶 When I Survey The Wondrous Cross 🎶
Issac Watts
1. When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of glory died,
my richest gain I count but loss,
and pour contempt on all my pride.
2. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast
save in the death of Christ, my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them through his blood.
3. See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown?
4. Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were a present far too small.
Love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.
📖 I Corinthians 1:18 📖
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
A Blessed Sunday to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

I know this hymn! Wow, these clouds are so unusual. Like dark painting on a white easel.
...I see that folks are making hay while the sun shines.
This is a beautiful hymn.
Beautiful pictures and a good hymn. January will be here before we know it!
I’ve grown to actually prefer the old hymns because of their depth meaning not to mention so beautifully written. 40 years ago I preferred the contemporary music most but I have evolved.
Love the read my friend, Also love the hymn, I love songs with a definite message, story or happenings. Bless you and the old guy!!
I love the old hymns!!
That's an unusual cloud in the first photo.
