Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

Sunny and calm this morning for walking.
59 degrees when I started out and 64 when my walk ended.

First walked around both of the cemeteries.
Then is was down the main road towards home and back again.

Walked straight through town and around the ball park loop
and then it was back to the Jeep.

Thomas was doing his running laps around the ball park.

Funny to watch the geese in the pond.
They would swim over to the fountain, go under it for a bit and
then out again.
They did that a few times.

Some people about cleaning up again after the parade from yesterday.

☀️    🌻    😊

Needleworks at the library this morning.
6 of us there this time.
A new woman joined us today, Ruthanna.
She was crocheting.
I got the second baby bootie started to go with the blanket
for Liz's future grandbaby.
Finished knitting the bootie at home this afternoon.

Another beautiful sunny day.
We sat on the front porch and ate watermelon.

Since we had grilled hamburgers last night and didn't
have our Friday homemade pizza we had pizza today for supper.

That's it for this day.
Hope your Saturday was a good one and
Thanks for stopping by.

Debby - Yes, our town had a parade yesterday with other activities going on as well,
but no we didn't go this year.

Melanie - Our town didn't have fireworks but a couple of other towns around the area did.  We didn't see any though.

When is Liz's grandbaby due? Sounds like you are on top of getting the blanket and booties ready.

What a peaceful and charming way to spend a Saturday—walking through familiar places, enjoying simple moments like watching geese by the fountain, and gathering with friends for needlework. It’s wonderful to see how the rhythms of tradition and community bring joy to everyday life. I just shared a blog post you are invited to read thank you

I love your shot of the wildflowers around the old post. They look like Sweetpeas!
