Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Typical Monday

A mix of sun and clouds and a temperature of 64
degrees when I went walking this morning.

First walked back to the main road towards home and back to town.

Continued around both of the cemeteries.
Around the long barn and down to the barn by the Drane house too.

You can't tell from the picture but the pond there is covered in green algae.
A bull decided to take a rest on the farm road.

From there I walked though town, around the ball park and back to the Jeep.

Noticed the cone flowers around town are now in bloom.

As I got to town I saw a young lady walking who I see every once in a while.
Sheila was running around town.
Lena was walking down from the cemetery as I was walking up to it.
She was walking with a woman who has just moved to town.
Her name is Janice.

I saw 5 deer on my way to town and 3 more on my way home.

Typical Monday.
Washing sheets and getting started on this week house cleaning.
Another good day for getting clothes dried.
The sheets were washed, dried, and put back on the bed before lunch.

Like most days I found time for reading and knitting too.

Supper tonight was sausages cook in the slow cooker in sauce.
We had them on hotdog rolls.
Along with them we had a garden salad.

Hope you had a great Monday.
Thanks for stopping by.

That was a great walk! Hay bales, cows, a bull and deer. :) I'd be thrilled. Your supper sounds good. We had a dinner like the roasted sausage dinner, but with chicken instead. Yum!

Those cone flowers are so pretty. They are one of my favorites. We've noticed an increase in the number of deer that we are seeing along the roadsides these days.
Your supper sounds yummy...as always.

That's a healthy coneflower plant. Mine are puny in comparison and I may need to give them a dose of fertilizer.

Hi Karen. I listened to part of your Sunday evening service again last night. I think I saw you on the camera walking around during what I think was the greeting part of the service. I watched for a while, then had to leave and do something else. I will keep tuning in whenever I can. I love the coneflowers you took a picture of. I love all kinds of flowers. Glad you had another good Monday. See you again tomorrow!
