Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Origami

This morning it was 58 degrees and very still when I walked.
Started out a bit foggy but the sun came out and chased the fog away.

Walked around one cemetery and then through town.
Up and down a few side streets and then around the ball park.
Back to the other cemetery and walked around there.

KitKat was sitting in the corn.

I was walking and saw Shiela drive to town and park but never saw
her after that.

No road work started in town again today till after I left for home.
At the end of my walk the temperature was 61.

🌫    🌤    🌸

Busy morning.
Went to Lowe's and then on to the church to get the trailer.
Loaded a few things in the trailer.
The trailer needed new tires so we stopped at
Glotfelty and asked if they could put new tires on.
Yes, they could and 1/2 later we were on our way with new tires.
On the way home we stopped for gas and now we are all
ready for the ride up to Bedford, Pa tomorrow.

This afternoon I went to the library.
A one time class of origami was being held there.
There were only 4 of us there but we laughed a lot and had a fun time.
Mikie, my friend from Needleworks was there too.

We made very simple things and they look a bit amateurish but here they are.
Fish, dog, bench, cat, fox, penguin

They were working on the road and it was a bit of weaving in and
out of streets to reach the library with parts of the roads closed.

While I was at the library, I dropped off a couple of DVD's for
Ken and picked up another one.

I got more knitting done.
Now that I'm getting close to finishing the colorful blanket
I'm anxious to finish it.

Another beautiful sunny day with a high of 79.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you enjoyed your day.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Hi Karen. We are having lots of road work around here too. The delays it brings can be frustrating, but we need to keep our roads in good condition. The origami class sounds fun. Glad you were able to get new tires on the trailer. Have a good evening. See you again tomorrow!

I love origami, and tried my hand at it awhile ago. Maybe I should take it up again. I always love your photos of a low mist on the ground, and the ones of Kit Kat. Making it even more special today is her in the corn!!! That would make a good painting!

Beautiful sunrise photo. Question, do you get a year out of one pair of walking shoes? I so admire your discipline :)

What a busy and fun day! It looks like your walk was super peaceful, and how cool that you got to do an origami class at the library! Those little creations are adorable, especially for a first try! And yay for new tires and getting ready for your trip to Bedford, PA. Safe travels tomorrow!
