Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Work Day

No dry weather walk for me today!!
It wasn't supposed to rain till late morning so didn't wear or
take my raincoat with me.
There was a light mist when I first got to town and soon after
it just rained!
It was a bit windy too and 49 degrees.

Walked around one of the cemeteries and around town over to
the ball park and walked around there.
By that time I was very wet and getting cold so cut my walk
short ( just over 6,000 steps) and headed back to the Jeep and home again.

As you can imagine no one else was out walking.

Nice to get home, get dry, and eat breakfast!!

A Fingerprints Ministry work day at church today.
This first day of work starts at 12 noon and lasts till whenever.
We went a little early so we could make a quick stop
at Lowe's before getting to church.

We got there a little before 12 and stayed till 5:30.
12 of us worked today.
I think the bad weather kept some people at home.

That pretty much took care of the day.
Looking forward to watching a DVD, knitting on the temperature blanket
and of course my ice cream.

Hope you enjoyed your day.
I'm glad you stopped by and I thank you.🙂

Ice cream at bedtime is so comforting! You go walking in weather that no one else would!

It does look dreary in your picture. It's been that way here for a few days, but we got some sunshine today.
You had a long day at the Fingerprints ministry, Enjoy your evening and the ice cream!

Quite the rainy day today, yes? We've been averaging about an inch of rain a day this week. I'm ready for a bit of sunshine now. :)

Good job for the first workday. Maybe there will be more to turn out for the second day.

Love the Scripture for today! xx

I got a chill just reading about your walking in the rain. It rained all day here and it's zapping me of my energy.

...we have been "enjoying" a cold rain for the last two days. Beautiful days without beautiful weather!

I don't mind much walking in rain but rain and wind can be less enjoyable. Sorry you got so wet!

Such a good way to start your day and I applaud you for not letting the rain stop you from going for your walk.

We won't see temps like that until next winter! It's 70 when we get up in the morning. But you know I love it! Hope your weekend is nice!

Sounds like you had a great day. Stay warm. It is still cold here. Not what we are expecting for the end of May...even in the North. Janice

You got lots accomplished even a partial walk. Nice street photo, I like it. It's raining here today and supposed to continue through the weekend.

Your day sounds like my day (except for the walking part). Still raining here after 2 days.

My walk the other day started as a mist too and became a rain the last 15 minutes. Luckily, I had an umbrella with me!
