Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baby Geese

I left for town earlier than usual because rain was on the way
but once again the rain waited until I was home again.

So I walked in cloudy weather and it was 49 degrees.
It was pretty windy out there too.

For about 5 minutes I saw a little peek of sun and a dull blue sky.

Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park and all around town.

Happy to report that all 7 baby geese are accounted for at the pond.
Mom and Dad hid them good when the eagle was around.

Didn't see anyone else this morning, not even any fishermen.
Very quiet and it was great to be out walking.

☁️    🥾    🙂

We ate our last slice of English Muffin Loaf the other day so
I made some more this morning.
Nice that it makes two loaves.

I haven't used my bread machine for quite a while.
It's really just as easy making dough using the kneading hooks on my mixer.
The bread machine got moved to the very top shelf in the pantry today.
I'll ask around and see if I can find anyone who would like to have it.

Got the rest of my house cleaning done for this week
and then just puttered about the house.
Too wet to work outside.

That's all I have for today.
Hope you enjoyed your Wednesday
and thanks for stopping by.
🙂HappyK❤️

Comment Replies:  Mari - You wouldn't believe all the rocks around on our property just waiting to be picked up!!!  We will NEVER run out of rocks. I'm sure we could build a stone wall with them all around our 21 acres. 🙂

That's a beautiful sky shot!
I and several others had to stop on the road as a large family of geese walked slowly across. They were in no hurry, traffic was stopped on both sides of the road. It was really quite cute.
I got rid of my bread machine for the same reason.
You're using your abundance of rocks in a good way.

Ahh, there are the baby geese. It's such a sweet sight. Glad you made it home before the rain. We have a sunshine filled day after several days of rain here. I should go out and pull weeds while the soil is wet! Happy Wednesday!

...goslings don 't stay tiny for long! It was cold and rainy here all day long.

So funny that the goslings are yellow and they grow up to be well, not yellow...a Canada goose or gander! Your photos are beautiful!

Hi Karen! Sounds like you had a nice, peaceful walk to start your day. I have two bread machines that I seldom use. I should probably take them to donate at the thrift store. See you again tomorrow!

Glad to hear that all the baby geese were safe and sound.
English muffin bread sure does sound good.

I was glad that the rain held off here until this evening so that Carroll was able to get a project done that he was working on today. Your pictures are all so beautiful, Karen.

The English Muffin loaf that you make sounds really good. I recently found a gluten free English Muffin that I have been enjoying. Carroll is more a fan of bagels, so I found a recipe for high protein bagels that uses cottage cheese that he really enjoys, and I've been making those for him.

I'm on my second breadmaker, having worn one out. There's nothing like freshly baked bread!!
