Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No Walk

My Achilles tendon has been giving me some pain lately so
skipped my walk today to give it a rest.
It's a foggy rainy morning so figured it was a good day for it.

Took this picture from my front door.

Fridays Engraved Gravestone

Finished up the house cleaning for the week.

Noticed another mistake I made on the prayer shawl that I'm
knitting and had to back knit 3 rows again.
Happy to say that now it is back on track
and I knitted quite a while this afternoon.
I can't believe how many times I've had to rip part of it out
because it is such an easy pattern.
I do believe since it is a prayer shawl the devil must behind it!

Each day is pretty much the same for us old people but I do
look forward to Fridays and having our homemade pizza!!🍕

That's all for today.
Hope your Friday was a good one.
Thanks for popping in for a visit.
🙂HappyK❤️

Debby - It would be pretty hard for us not to have brush or trees taller than 5 feet living on 21 acres in the woods! 🌲🌳🙂

Look after that painful Achilles tendon ... hope it soon feels a lot better.
It certainly was a foggy start to the day.
I'm sure you have enjoyed (or will enjoy) your homemade pizza this evening.

All the best Jan

Isn't that 72? Still young, though.

I love the fog photo and Scripture verse and illustration. Please take care of your heel...and yourself! God bless you and thank you so much for your beautiful posts.

Foggy days always seem cozy to me. I usually don't mind them at all and I really liked your foggy photo! Have a great weekend and take care of that tendon!

I always enjoy some fog. Atmospheric and moody, great as long as I don't have to drive in it. Take care of your heel!

Trees can be tall (with no height restrictions), but they must maintain a minimum distance of 5 feet from each other and 5 feet from the house. And yes, that would be hard when you live in a forest like you. As I said, we're not cutting down our trees. The state of California can learn to manage the forest more effectively and stop nitpicking its residents. We aren't the ones to blame, and they are trying to gaslight homeowners.
I love it here, but sometimes they make it very hard to stay.

A very painful condition so yes you need to rest it.

Ouch! That painful Achilles tendon does not sound fun. Good idea to skip your walk today. I have noticed that as I get older, the more aches and pains I have - sometimes it seems like new ones are cropping up each day! Glad you were able to get some knitting done and get your prayer shawl back on track. I love that scripture meme at the end of your post. Have a good weekend! See you again soon!

The fog always makes things look so soft. Have you had previous problems with your Achilles Tendon?

Sorry about your foot. That's a hard decision to make when one loves to walk as much as you. Take care!

That fog sure was thick. Sorry to hear about the Achilles tendon.

Hope your foot is better fast. It's a remarkable day when you don't go for a walk!
