A pleasant walk this morning.
Temperature 58 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise is a nice early 6:02.
All 7 baby geese were swimming around in the drainage ditch
along the side of the pond with mom and dad looking on.
I met a new walker this morning, Regina.
Hopefully I'll see her again.
Walked around both of the cemeteries, around town
and by the ball park.
Passing by the library I dropped another DVD down the slot.
I like to return things as soon as we're done with them.
Others might be waiting for them.
The big pots by the library have new plants in them.
I was walking along when a car stopped at a stop street,
rolled down the window, looked at me and said Hi like he knew me
and then drove on.
I said hi back but have no idea who he was!1
I found a penny by the church.
Don't know the name of this flower but thought it looked pretty.
Edit - Tom identified it as a Lupine.
Thanks Tom, I knew you would know. 🙂
☁️ ☀️ 💰 🙂
Blankets for Babies morning so headed out to church soon after breakfast.
A good crowd this month, 15 of us.
Now that we are making blankets for seniors in nursing homes as well
more people have started showing up.
This afternoon I could have cleaned the bathroom, washed my Jeep,
or do a couple other chores.
I decided to do none of the above and went outside.
Collected another tractor bucket load of rocks and laid them out in the other
dry run we have out back under the arched bridge.
You can't see it in the picture but there is a little bit of water
running down it.
I also cut some more sticker bushes down.
The wisteria is blooming now but only had about a dozen blooms this year.
After working it was nice to sit out on the porch a while.
Humming birds and butterflies came to visit the hanging flowers.
Sitting on the front porch I took this picture.
We had some chili in the freezer so took that out and we used
it to make taco salads for supper.
Hope you had a great Thursday.
Thanks for stopping by.

...it's a lupine and it's beautiful!
Sounds like a fun walking day with hellos and new walkers! Have a lovely evening!
Beautiful photos. I think one of the flowers 💐 above the lupine is a pansy...the two coloured purple 💜 and yellow one.
Exceptional photos today of your area. So green and pristine. That rock bridge is awesome.
The flowers are beautiful and so is that view from the porch.
We tried to grow lupines here but they didn't do well. They are so pretty.
I love your rock run!
A dozen blooms is enough for a Wisteria, it is so showy and beautiful. I love your sweet little stone bridge!!
Hi Karen! That does sound like a very nice day. It's nice that you are now making blankets for elderly folks in addition to babies. I love that Wisteria. Your property looks great. It's always fun to hear about your day. See you again tomorrow!
Wonderful flowers. Thank you, K.
God bless.
Nice scenery and photos from your walk. I love the flowers and the bridge. Take care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
I have some lupine in front of my house that I got from my dad a long long time ago. I've always liked them.
Love the photo you took of the trees and the sky. Your dry run looks fantastic. That's a lot of work you put into it
Your pictures are beautiful, Karen, as always...especially enjoyed the one you took from your front porch. And how considerate of you to return things to the library as soon as you have finished with them so that they are available for others.
Pretty flowers indeed.
I saw Lupine this week too and it was very pretty. I love all the photos from your walk and it's fun to see other walkers! Hugs!
Lovely photographs on your post, including the colourful plant pots by the library.
All the best Jan
Lovely blooms.
