Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baby Geese

This morning when I walked it was a bit misty and 58 degrees.

Walked around the lower cemetery a couple of times and
as I passed the pond on my way to the upper cemetery
I saw that the geese I've been watching now have some little ones.

I first saw them huddled between mom and dad and
seen from the road thought I counted 6 of them.

Got a bit closer and as they all started moving away from me
I counted 7 of them.
It will be so nice watching them grow.

Next I walked through town and to the ball park and around there.
On my travels I made a stop at the library to drop off the latest book I read.

A couple fishermen were around the lake.
Bus #46 drove past me which is Kinsley's bus and I saw lots of hands
waving at me but couldn't see faces.

☁️    🙂    🚌

Left for Bedford, Pa at 9:30 and arrived a few minutes after 11:00.
Ken backed in the trailer

and it got loaded up with 30,000 scriptures for us to bring back for assembly.
Also boxes of covers, and boxes that the completed Romans books
will be packed into.

We were all set for the trip home at 11:45.
As usual we stopped at Wendy's for lunch for our Spicy Chicken sandwiches.

Dropped the trailer off at church and finally got back home at 3:15.

That about took care of the day.

I sat on the porch and read for a little while before supper.

David and Liz brought me these flowers on Mother's Day.
As I sat there humming birds came along.
Don't have to put feeders out, they love the real thing.

Since lunch was more than we usually eat we counted that as our main
meal and just had a 'fend' night for supper.

Hope you enjoyed your day.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by.

That’s funny that you call it a “fend night.” We call it “jump for the cupboards” I wonder what others call it?
Those are such attractive flowers - love the geese.
Sounds like a full productive day.

Your hanging basket of flowers is very pretty. We had a fend for yourself night too. Not sure if we call it anything special.
