Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Figured it out🙂

 Walked in the rain yesterday.
Today it was cloudy and didn't start raining till the last block of walking.
It was cool at only 34 degrees.
Sunrise 6:51

Started my walk going around both of the cemeteries.
Then walked over to the ball park and around there.
Continued walking through town and up and down the side streets.

Those plants that popped up behind the fire house
turned out to be skunk cabbage.

Nothing happening around town early this morning.
Didn't see anyone.

☁️    🙂    🌧

The only work I did today was clean the kitchen countertop
and do a load of laundry.
I was determined to figure out the shawl pattern that I had trouble
with Saturday and had to rip out.
I kept at it and happy to say that my patience paid off
and I figured it out.

After I did that I was not in the mood to do housework so just
keep knitting.

That's all for today.
Hope your Monday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Some of you have mentioned the Bible verses on the pictures
that I've been posting.
Laura, one of my friends from church makes them up with
clip art and puts the verses on.
She texts them to me and others each morning.
I'm just passing them on.

Your shawl pattern is lovely, and I really love the soft color! Skunk Cabbage! Don't think I have ever seen any. I bet it's not edible. I am going to Google it.

Good for you for sticking with it, that's a beautiful pattern.
Tell Laura we are all appreciating her work!
PS - I saw your comment about cleaning with vinegar. I need to do that more!

Skunk cabbage has yet to show here. We are enjoying the crocus. I added a photo to my header.

There will be lots of Skunk Cabbage where we walk by Fish Creek but so far I haven't seen new growth.
I like the colour of yarn that you're using and that scalloped edge is so pretty.

I don’t know if we have skunk cabbage here. That shawl will be pretty when it’s done. My mom used to crochet - I still have a few of her crocheted shawls, blankets and doilies.
