Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

5,500

 A rainy walk this morning.
At 60 degrees it was too warm to wear my rain coat and
too windy which made my umbrella useless so I just got wet.
It was just a drizzly rain so it wasn't that bad.
At least it was good enough to walk.

No one about this morning, pretty quiet.
Just me and KitKat and he followed me a block or so.
For some reason he has taken a liking to me.
It is very hard to take a picture of him!

Walked around both of the cemeteries, town, and the ball park.

This building project has come to a standstill.
It has been like this for months.

I noticed it has been a bad year for forsythia around here this year.
There were only a few yellow flowers on the bushes and then they
all just turned green.

🌧    🚶‍♀️    🌷

Saturday and time for Needleworks at the library.
There were 7 of us there this time.
Lena brought along her young granddaughter who was crocheting.
I was making weave-its, 3 were knitting and, 2 were embroidering.

I wasn't going to get any books out at the library but found one that
sounded good so checked it out.

Nice to spend time at home this afternoon knitting and reading.

I took the other layer of the cake out of the freezer that
I baked a while back, made some icing for it and we're having
that for our snack tonight.

Hamburgers and tater tots are on the menu for supper.

That's it for this post which happens to be number 5,500.
That's a lot of posts!!

Hope your Saturday was sunny and bright.

Our forsythia bloomed nicely and is just starting to turn green.
PS - I found a dime while walking today and thought of you!

Now I want hamburgers and tots! I always live seeing Kit Kat, as we are cat people and have owned many cats. Or should I say that the cats have owned us. He is so beautiful, and I see how his tail is swishing.

How fun to have a friend walk with you a bit. Too bad about the forsythias not blooming. Janice
