Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

Delightfully warm weather for walking this morning, 58 degrees.
It was cloudy and sun rise was 7:05.

Walked around both of the cemeteries, the ball park, and up
and down the side streets in town.

I spotted quite a few blooming daffodils around town.
They must have just started blooming today because I sure
didn't see them yesterday.
Spring may have finally arrived here.

Rebecca was out walking Leo, nice to see someone else out walking.

Looks like fishing season has begun today.
People at the pond fishing.

By the time I was done walking there were 15 pickups in the parking lot.

The lot without the house now is pretty much level.

This house which was the General Store at one time doesn't look so great either.
It is right next to the house that just came down.
Hopefully the owner will continue with the restoration.
The left side was the store and the right side was the residence.

🙂    ☁️    🥾

Needleworks at the library this morning.
Only 3 of us there today but we enjoyed ourselves.

Made Roasted Sausage and Vegetables for supper.

That's all I've got for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Saturday was a great one.

Hi Karen. Seems like there are some changes going on in your town. I hope renovations on that other old home continue. Have a good Sabbath tomorrow. See you then!

...daffodils are a cheery part of spring. That house disappeared quickly.

I love seeing the daffodils - a sure sign of Spring.
Old buildings like the General Store are such a treasure. I hope they fix it up.

I love the two-tone color daffodils. so your close-up photo of the green house, that was the General Store? It really does look like one. Wouldn't it be great if it was bought and made into a kind of retro general store?

I like the house at the end. I hope they save it.

They did a nice job of cleaning up that lot. You'd never know there was a house there.
Those daffodils sure are pretty.

The lovely weather sure brings the daffodils out in full bloom!!
How nice and level is the lot where the house was demolished.

The daffodils have to be the prettiest spring bulb flower. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the two tone ones. Very pretty.

Hello,
Your daffodils images are lovely. We saw families fishing yesterday. Maryland state parks had an event yesterday suggesting people take their children fishing.
Take care, have a great day and a wonderful week.

That house really has some attractive bones. It would be beautiful restored to it's original glory. Hooray for the daffodils!
