25 degrees and sunny while walking this morning.
Still a bit windy but not like yesterday.
Sunrise 6:40
Morning Walk Steps 11,891
headed down the main road toward home a ways before
turning around the walking back to town.
The snow plow knocked down the speed limit sign last month
and here it still sits over the guard rail on the side of the road.
Farmer Marvin's mail box keeps getting knocked down.
Here's his solution.
I walked over to the ball park and around there.
Took the short trail behind it too.
From there I went back to the upper cemetery and walked around there.
Then before I knew it my walk was over.
☀️ 🥾 🙂
We went to the library to pick up a DVD and a book that was on hold.
Then we went to Grantsville and did a few errands.
One was a stop at Candyland.
I'm not really a candy person but Ken is.
The candy is sold by the pound.
You just walk around with a bag putting your choice of candy in it.
I put a couple tootsie roll pops in the bag
and Ken got a good selection of his favorites.
They have some candy that you don't see very often anymore
like candy buttons and Necco Waffers.
The CandyStore also sells produce and spices.
I like to buy spices there because they are only $1.69.
Friday has come around again and time for homemade pizza for supper.
Hope your Friday was sunny and bright.
Thanks for stopping by.

All I really need is love, but a little candy now and then doesn't hurt!

The colour of the sky in your first photograph is so beautiful.
All the best Jan
I think I'd like to visit that candy store!!
Farmer Marvin has a clever way to keep his mailbox from being damaged.
The sky is gorgeous. I love the candy store. They seem rare nowadays. I am old enough to remember when there was penny candy stores.
That is a pretty big candy store. Candyland for sure. Janice
I've never seen a candy store like that! It looks enormous, and there are so many varieties of candy. Funny, I rarely buy candy, but this morning, I bought myself a bag of peanut M&Ms, which are my favorite.
That candy store reminds me of the penny candy counter I used to get a quarters worth of candy from. I haven't had Necco's in a very long time.
That is a great candy store. I just bought some Bit-o-Honey recently. Farmer Marvin came up with a good plan! Enjoy your evening.
That first photo is so pretty!
I liked your other pics too. So nice to see it lighter in the morning and without snow.
A lot of people around my area do similar things next to their mailboxes to protect them.
I think my granddaughters would love that store! :)
...snow plows have taken out lots of this here this winter!
I would enjoy visiting that candy store too! I have many favorites including licorice! Inherited my sweet tooth from my dad! Ha.
What a wonderful store.
God bless.
That first picture is gorgeous! I love the sky reflection in the pond. Interesting solution Farmer Marvin came up with to protect his mailbox! I'm not a real candy person either but I'm partial to Smarties so that's what I would stock up on!
Beautiful sky, love the first photo.
Our mailbox get knock over a lot by the plows.
The candy store looks amazing, they do have a good price for the spices. Have a happy weekend.
It’s great that you got to enjoy the sunshine and get some fresh air, even if the snowplow had made a mess of that speed limit sign. Marvin’s solution for his mailbox is pretty clever too—people certainly have to get creative with small-town challenges!
Candyland sounds like a fun stop, especially with those classic candies. I haven’t seen Necco Wafers in years, so that’s a nice little nostalgic treat. And homemade pizza for supper? That sounds like the perfect way to end a Friday!
I hope you are having a great weekend. You are invited to read my new post: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/03/the-breathtaking-adventures-we-had-in-glencoe.html Thank you.
That's a huge candy store. I remember Necco's, haven't seen those in decades.
Nice sunrise!
