Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A gift of yarn

Snow was falling as I walked around town this morning.
It was 29 degrees with just a little breeze.
Sunrise 6:38
Morning Walk Steps 12,141

Started out walking around the lower cemetery.

You might not be able to see them but there are two Robins in this picture
on the left side of the road.
I guess they were enjoying the snow.

Next I went around the cemetery up the hill.

Then headed over to the ball park and walked around there a couple of times.
Yes, those are my footprints.

From there I walked over to the library and then up and down
some of the side streets.

A couple more pictures from my walk.

Drew some happy faces and a heart in the snow.

As I expected no one else was out.

🌨    ⛄️    🙂

Went to the library this morning and met the Needlework ladies.
Only 4 of us there this week but we always enjoy our time together.
Debbie gave me a whole bunch of Caron yarn that she didn't want.
She donated it for me to make baby blankets out of it.
When she told me last week that she had some yarn for me,
I had no idea that she was giving me so much.
She walked in with a big bag of it.
15 hanks of Caron Simply Soft yarn and 5 other hanks of baby yarn.
I'll be able to make many blankets from all this.
If you are reading this Debbie,
THANK YOU SO MUCH

Mikey, another Needlework friend is making a temperature blanket too.
We both brought our blankets in for 'show and tell'.
She is using completely different colors and it was fun to see
how different each blanket was.
I didn't think to take a picture but will next time we compare them.

Supper tonight was slices of roast beef on toast with gravy.
Haven't had that in a while and it really hit the spot.

Hope your Saturday was one you enjoyed.
Thanks for stopping by,
🙂HappyK❤️

I'm not ready to see snow again! It's almost melted here, but it could come back... I hope some others got to enjoy your snow art!
That's a nice bunch of yarn!

I love the first photo of the geese on the pond with the snow and barn in the background. And the logs! This looks like really nice yarn! Wonder why she didn't want it?

...we woke to a dusting of snow too. Can you ever have too much yarn?

You had snow? ⛄️ That might mean my friend who is flying into DC to visit with her grandchildren might have snow. It’s been close to 70 here. I’m sure the warmth of those babies will keep her warm enough.

Your snow pictures are so pretty. Wow...you are an energetic walker. I love where you walk. Your hot beef sandwich sounds good, especially on a snowy day. Take care.

Is this all your snow or do you import it from elsewhere for the scenery?

God bless.

We had snow again the other day. This coming week we're getting a warm up.
That's a lot of yarn. You'll be busy with baby blankets for a while.

Hello,
I love seeing the snow, in other places than in my area.
That is a lot of yarn for the baby blankets.
The hot beef sandwich does sound good.
Take care, have a wonderful day and a happy week ahead.
