Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cold

Today the sun is out but it is only 4 degrees so still no
walking in town, but down in the basement for me again.
I'm beginning to feel that I'll never get to walk in town again!

So this morning got a bunch more house work done.
Doing some extra cleaning that doesn't get done every week.

After lunch we went back to the library and got a couple DVD's and books.
I picked up the book club book for March.
The Glass Maker by Tracy Chevalier.
Will be reading two other books before I get to that one though.

That's it for today.
Just my usual afternoon.
Nothing exciting but a most enjoyable day.
Happy Tuesday and thanks for stopping by.

It was 2 degrees this morning. The Polar Vortex has returned once again. They even warned us not to let our pets out by themselves now and we have a snow dog. We take him out on a leash now because it made us nervous. Janice

Hi Karen. Wow - it sure is cold where you are. It's not that cold here, although we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow. I hope things warm up so you can walk outside again soon!

What a pretty blue sky that is. It's been very cold here also. I haven't left the house in the last 6 days.

4 degrees is a little too cold for my blood.
Is that the coldest temperature you’ve ever experienced? At least you keep positive because the seasons are something we have no control over so we might as well embrace it, the best we can. (I know easy for me to say that.)

We have minus 11 degrees Celsius and a brilliant blue sky, it's beautiful outside with the snow. It will be warmer at the weekend and by next week winter will probably say goodbye with temperatures of up to 10 degrees plus.
I wish you a nice Wednesday. Have fun reading.

Before you know it, you'll be out walking in town again. Brrr....in the meantime. I have a form of that quote on a sweet plaque with snow and birds. Happy Wednesday to you.

Like the Hal Borland quote puts it: No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.
