Yesterday it was warmer with a high of 24 in the afternoon and sunny
though it was windy.
It was a Fingerprint Ministry work day and we left for church yesterday a
little early so we could stop at Lowe's and pick up the new washing machine.
Good thing we left early because we had to wait 40 minutes to get it.
Somehow they lost it out in the back.
Machine was supposed to be in section 24 and they found it in 12.
Well at least they found it and we got it in the truck and headed to church.
Pretty good turn out for work and we got 4,000 Romans books done.
It is really a fun time and there is much laughter and talking
and we still get the work done.
We were there all day and Pastor ordered in a bunch of pizzas for our supper.
When Ken and I got home, we took out the old washing machine
and put it outside.
(It will go to the dump on Saturday)
Oh my what a dusty dirty mess once the washer was removed.
Cleaned that all up good and then installed the new one.
The hardest part was getting it out of the box.
After that was done I just felt like sitting in my comfortable chair
and not doing anything so that's was I didn't blog yesterday.
Left this morning again for another day of Fingerprints but this
time we quit working at 12:00.
The total books we got put together, stapled, cut, and boxed up
for the two days was 8,897.
I'd say a good start for the year toward our goal of 100,000.
When we got home there was a box on the porch.
My yarn had arrived for the Temperature Blanket.
These are the 12 colors that will be used. 🧶
I'd better get started because I'm already 24 days behind!!!
I did a load of laundry in the new washer and this one load went well.
The only thing was that it took a whole hour.
I had it set on deep rinse so that may have been why.
I'll do the regular rinse tomorrow and see how that goes.
I like the nice big tub.
The latest puzzle is now finished too.
It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.
So many different fonts and colors that were very similar.
We'll look at it for a day or two before putting it away for another year.
Hope your day was a happy one.
Thanks for stopping by.

So pleased you have got your new washing machine.
I do like all the colours of the yarn.
Your finished puzzle looks good.
All the best Jan
The puzzle looks so hard! Oh my, you both must be very strong to tackle this washing machine transporting and installation!! Your church has so many dedicated workers!!!
...playing catch up is never fun!
Hi Karen. I hope you like your new washing machine. I love all the lovely yarn colors. Your blanket will be so pretty when you are finished! You and Ken make such a positive difference helping to spread God's word with the Fingerprints ministry. I love how you are always serving and helping others! That puzzle looks like a good one, but with all of those words, it would be challenging. I hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!
I went to the page you shared about Fingerprint Ministry to find out what it is all about. It's certainly a great ministry and outreach to those who don't know the Lord. Prayers that you reach your goal of 100,000 books go out this year. From what you've already done I don't think there will be a problem!! Pretty colors of yarn for your blanket.
I'm so glad you got your washer and I hope the next time you run it, it doesn't take so long.
You've done a lot of work with Fingerprints this week! It's good that you all have fun working together.
I'm anxious to see how your blanket looks once you get going!
I'm glad to hear that you were just very busy yesterday and not ill. Glad you got your new washing machine and that it worked well for the first load.
Great job on the Romans books!
The blanket with such nice colors will turn out great!!
Have a nice weekend!!
You did get off to a good start with the fingerprints.
Glad they found your washer and you got it installed. The newer washers do take way longer to wash a load of clothes. Mine takes about an hour which I don't like but it's better than going to a laundromat.
Those yarn colors are gorgeous! Can't wait to see how it turns out! Keep us posted as you work on it :)
That is going to be a fun temperature blanket with all those colors. Glad they finally found your washing machine! That looks like a fun puzzle to put together with all the individual signs. Happy Saturday to you.
I love all the colorful yarn, it will be a pretty blanket.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Love that rainbow of colours!
I'm amazed that you and Ken could manage to unbox and install the new washer. Those things weight a lot!! I hope you'll be happy with it.
Nice colours for the temperature blanket.
I love your choice of colors for the blanket. I noticed you are using Premier DK yarn. I like that yarn a lot and am using it for another basket. It is a good acrylic.
