Another too cold for walking morning so once again I was inside.
Nice that the sun came out though.
Seemed like a good day for baking so I made Black and Whites.
They take awhile with a few steps but worth it.
I'll be having one for my snack tonight instead of ice cream.
Recipe
HERE.
We got a call from Lowe's saying our washing machine was in
and we could pick it up.
Have to go out that way tomorrow so will get it then.
I asked Ken if he would make a rack in the laundry room for our shoes.
We had this rack down in the basement and he hung it on the wall.
I like that it has space underneath for easy cleaning.
It turned out just like I wanted.
Hope your Wednesday was a good one and thanks for stopping by.

You certainly have got a lot of snow. I hope it will not prevent you from getting your new washing machine tomorrow.
I like your shoe rack.
All the best Jan
...the rack looks great!
That shoe shelf really keeps things nice and tidy. I love it!
I love the rack! Did you just now get the idea? It's brilliant! Black & Whites are my favorite! Kroger sells them in their bakery and I always have at least one package. Now I need to go and eat one...
That shoe rack is perfect. I need to get one for my husband as he leaves his shoes everywhere. My shoe rack is actually an old book shelf that fits in my closet. I use it half for shoes and the other half for sweaters.
It's so cold here too! I ventured into the back yard to take a few pictures and was soon back inside.
Your shoe rack is great!
Brrrr! Sure looks cold.
The shoe rack looks perfect for the job.
Oh I just love the pictures of your yard with the snow and all the tall trees! I also happen to love black and white cookies...and yours look awfully good!
A wonderful idea for your shoes. Cookies look yummy. Janice
Those cookies look tasty.
God bless.
It was too cold to be outside yesterday. We were at -9 in the morning with a real feel of -22.
I like the shoe rack Ken put up. Nice to have someone who is handy like that.
Your cookies look delicious! I like your new shoe rack too, I like to have everything organized, I need a shelf to keep the dog food and supplies. Take care, have a great day!
What a great rack for the shoes!!
Hi Karen, I've made your recipe for the Black and Whites and they are delicious. It's been a while since I've made any....hmmm...maybe that's something I should consider very soon. :)
I really like the way your shoe rack in the laundry room turned out...especially that it leaves room underneath for easy cleaning.
Thank you for the information about the yarn. Enjoy your day!
I've never tasted a black and white before. They sure do look good. I made soft ginger cookies this week and we ate way too many so I have to lay off the cookies for awhile.
The shoe rack looks great and just the thing to keep shoes neat and tidy.
Nice shoe shelf and some delicious looking cookies.
Your shoe shelf is brilliant. I need one just like it (going to show this picture to my hubbie)!:)
It was bitterly cold here too!
That is a great shoe rack! Great idea to have it off the floor, too. Hope the picking up of the new washing machine is going well!
Thanks, Karen, for the little gift! I got it this afternoon! It's so cute. Anything little tends to be cute! I wrote about it on my blog today.
I like that shoe shelf - and the heater vent underneath helps!
I like the concept of a temperature blanket. It sounds like such a neat project to take on. I still have a treasure trove of crochet hooks, books filled with patterns, and an abundance of colorful yarn—all passed down from my mom. I just need better time management so that I can start crocheting like I did when my kids were young.
Missed you yesterday. I hope you were just tired and not ill.
We keep getting snow too.
